Benitos scarier
Yep, Yetis only just beat them 7-0.
I might have spent too much time on the defense and none on the offense for that game but still, hell of a team.
And while the Yetis DID beat the Benitos 7-0, I think the Benitos are still a MUCH better team than the Yetis are. Every powerhouse team has a fluke loss somewhere. The Benitos have MUCH less of them though.
The Benitos are the best team in GLB. Hands down. Please, please dont take this the wrong way, Benitos are one of the very very few teams on Yetis level and are easily one of the top 3 teams in GLB full stop.
But this game :
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=196651 was not a fluke.
Like I said I only gameplanned for about an hour, and the focus was to shut down their Offense.
Our Offense was the same as it ever is, hasnt changed since season 4 really.
The results speak for themselves.
Their run game was held to 2.2 yards per carry.
Yetis got 10 Sacks and 11 Hurries in 31 pass plays = 67% effectiveness.
We had 2 INTs and 8 PDs in the 21 pass plays were the QB was not sacked = 47.6% effectiveness.
We had ZERO missed Tackles on Defense all game. (1 by a WR).
None of those support the point of view that it was a fluke.
On Offense I expected a great team like Benitos to shut us down, but I trusted that our builds would win out, and changed nothing.
That was our 'A' game and we dont generally have a plan 'B'. (CPL doesnt need one.)
Yetis have lost some scrimmage games, but thats generally because I had no idea we were playing those teams, as the owner has an open challenge out there and we end up playing a game or two every day.
Regular season in CPL we lose, but we dont start playing until the Play offs start.
I still put Yetis, Benitos, and another 4 or 5 teams as tied at the top of GLB, where if they played each other it would be down to tactics.
But anyone else, well tactics dont come into it, the quality of build and depth of those teams make tactics irrelevant for the most part.
