Thanks guys, the write ups are fun to do ... certainly makes it easier to pay attention and keep myself involved.

I'm going to try to have each one out between noon and 1pm (pacific time) on the off days.

Larkis is taking a bit of a break from his rankings but he'll be back in a few weeks. Next week I probably won't have the Rewind again because I want to do a Quarter Report type thing.

But what do you guys prefer? Do you like the Rewind and Breakdown of 3 or 4 games? Or do you like the brief break down of each game I did this time around in the Picks section?

I think both are awesome but I prefer the rewind/breakdown. It's really great to get someone else's opinion in detail of a game.

Keep it up!

pimos down 2 spots after winning?

Yeah ... it was a tough week for the top 4 really. I had to move PPP up (and maybe 2 is too high) and I had to keep Korb above the Pimps for now just on the head to head.

I'd say 2 is a bit high for us at the moment, but you're right in that everyone is pretty close. But, we've only played one really tough game so far. After Porto we get Rotterdam, Stockholm, and Rivals. Even though there are still several good teams later in the schedule, we should have a pretty good idea how we rate at that point.

Great job as always, FDC.

This one could be one of the best match-ups in all of WEPL this week. Ice & Fire have shown they can compete with anyone while Lyon is trying to establish themselves as a Top 8 club week in and week out. It will be interesting to see how Ice & Fire game plans for this one. Expect this one to be close. Lyon wins 33-31.

I'm really looking forward to this one. They spanked us in the league last year and we squeaked them in the playoffs stopping them on the 15 on their last drive after we punted to their 2.5. If the ball had gone the extra 2.5 yards and they had started on the 20 you'd be doing write-ups for the GRD now!

They've upgraded a couple of players though (which we're a bit restricted in) so I expect they'll walk this one. Good luck anyway!

Great as always.

Monarchs Defense has big issues, the AI hasnt been changed since season 5 (Only made two changes to 40 inputs.)

Offense was my key priority this season, we need to start scoring more points to progress deeper in the playoffs. So I have run a different type of offense in every game to test things out.

Got two more games of testing before I settle down I think then I'll work on the Defense in time for the play offs.

Oh and as for the Alpha Rankings...

Berlin Blitzkrieg despite being 0-3 will end the season with 10 wins at least I believe. Having faced Meatballs, Monarchs and WuJacks and made improvements each game I think they will go on and make a strong late push for the play offs.

Berlin's has slowly been sliding down each season though.
Look at their play-off stats, each season they play one less game than the season below.
This season, they'll play 0

nice job man... Looking forward to the London game

I love how everybody calls us London, yet in the team forum we only ever call ourselves the 'Monarchs'. Anyway, really looking forward to the game against Black Watch...should be interesting to see how the game plays out.

Especially now there's two "London.." teams in Alpha! We were always your first local derby though

Agree 2 is probably too high. But after dropping several after the previous game even though we had a convincing win, I don't know where we belong. Somewhere between 2-6 is probably right. I think FDC is overrating us to make up for the previous demotion.

But again great writeup by FDC.

Its not really about how many wins you get, as who you lose to.

2 seasons in a row they lost to WuJax in the playoffs (The eventual Champions). Doesnt matter if they met them in the first or last round, that loss is no shame.

Last season they lost (barely) to Mercs, and had only recently played them.
Given a full game to scout Zickzack normally fixes whats broken.

They rarely lose to anyone that doesnt turn out to be a top 4 team, and last season one loss at least was the result of a all out team temp boosting against them.

And if you want to know why they are underperforming this season I refer you to the Bugs forum

But i still state that losing to Meatballs, WuJax and Monarchs this early after a major tactics update does not make them a bad team.
