The funny thing about ego is, Its very easily bruised. Good luck and have a ton of fun.

I do see Randy's point,
I did take quite a long time for you guys to make it out of AAA, now you show up, run through a down season, and jump out of the frying pan and into the fire... I hope it works out for you.

Totally agree. Guess there's more potential Detroit forum fanboys/nuthuggers there than here.

call it weak sauce if you want but there is EASILY more competition in CPL than there is here. Eventually if you want to be considered a great team you have to beat great teams. even with the shuffle there really isnt great competition here. Sure Prague and SGA are good teams but there isnt much more than that. Why should we stay in a weak league if there is a chance to move to a better one?

I don't think anyone is disputing the merits of CPL, Its a very good league, with allot of parody (more than 2 or 3 good teams), What people I think are disputing is Detroit's abilities to be successful there.

The situation is similar to this:

Fresno State has a great year in the WAC, is asked to move up to the PAC 10 (only a 1 or 2 top teams) does well vs the bad teams (has a nice record)& gets beat by the good ones, and asks to move to the SEC Where most of the teams are very good).

That is what people are scratching their heads at. I know you Detroit guys wont agree with this, but is it pretty close to what you have done. Maybe you go there and kick ass run the table and prove everyone wrong, maybe you go there and go 7 and 9 for a few seasons, or even worse, you become what you hated, an under leveled team that the good teams look past. Time will tell, at least you wont have to worry about 11 blowout games on your schedule.

KJust trying to explain why folks are skeptical on this.

I see how it is. Beat us once in the playoffs and then jump ship before we can go 4-1!

Hell, I'm disputing Detroit's ability to be sucessfull here. I guess it's one of those 'what if Detroit stayed and got smacked around' musings.

All this bandying about competition, I guess I don't understand the definition of caliber as it's being discussed. Are we talking a few levels, are we talking game planning (which to Cappys admission didn't occur last season). *shrugs*

we would rather be small fish in a big pond, whats the point of walking to another final this season when we can struggle to make the playoffs in CPL, back in the season 1-3 days of EE AAA#2, we barely got a home playoff game and multiple teams had a shot at beating us, that was fun unlike EE Pro

If you dispute our ability to be successful anywhere I laugh at you. We can hang with anyone on GLB. I didn't say we would beat everyone, but we'd be in every game. After the move we could possibly lose 2-4 games, unlike EEP where there's only 1 or 2 games to worry about in your conference.

Raider...you'd be surprised but me, Caps and most the Detroit guys would be much happier working our asses off to get 9-10 wins then doing no GPing and getting 19 wins.

Or Detroit wants to play more elite teams and is ok with losing 5 games to be in a very tough league. It seems like you want us here?

Yep I want yall here, I mean besides the forum pollution, its good for the league to have more good teams. If all the good teams want to leave, it brings down the league and erm well .. we need all the help we can get to strengthen the league and keep it competitive and have as many good teams as possible.

I wouldnt jump ship until yall beat up on the reorganized league one season, I figure its tough though, because yall arent sure if the door will close again for another 4 seasons.

Again I just try to do whats best for EE Pro .. and besides clogging up my work threads with garbage bantering like the rest of the forum threads .. yall are good for the league and therefore good for me.
