I guess they weren't the only ones who feel like he's so much more than he really is.

I wasn't aware teams had the ability to send specific receivers on specific routes. But if you could, please send him on the same route every time.
"We will offer you max cash, max salary, and a promotion."
Great, just what I was looking for... a team willing to sacrifice their entire future just to secure a high level player. Throw in 3 1st round draft picks and it's a deal. And what is this about a promotion? I didn't realize I had a low rank.
"You will be getting at least 40 plays a game which should get you your 100XP"
It's nice to see a team at least show that they have SOME SORT of knowledge about how players earn XP after level 29, but I'm pretty sure I only really need 1 play in order to get my minimum 100XP.
Anybody else get any gems from other teams?

Unless you were telling the teams that were contacting you that you already had plans of joining another team. I get offers for my players all the time promising me the world. I try to say thank you to all the teams. I kinda had to give up doing that once I got bombarded. I'm not complaining about the teams personally. I'm complaining that it sucks being a committed free agent, because you're getting bombarded with dozens of messages that all say the same thing.
The reason for becoming a free agent, for me, was because my team was sold back to the CPU. I didn't choose to be a FA, it just happened.
But if I WANTED to be a free agent and I was looking for a new team, I would want exactly what teams like Stockholm, Rivals, Rotterdam, AWC, Multiple and a few other teams did. I would want them to simply tell me, in detail, what system they run, how it differs from other teams, and why they think my character would be the best fit for that system. As a player whos been here from day 11 of season 1, I already know that if your team has the money, I will be getting all my equipment upgrades. I obviously have no use for max cash and salary, only a beginner would care about something like that. Being a starter isn't as important to me anymore, but getting good numbers might be. So instead of telling me that I will start, why not tell me why you think I would get good numbers on your team? Or tell me neither. Promising me a starting position only lets me know that you have nobody better than me on your squad. Or at least you think thats the case, anyway. Either way, it seems like youre assuming im a beginner or that I care more about starting than winning a championship.
And speaking of winning a championship, don't just say, "I really think we can win a championship with you on the team." How about telling me why you think that? Tell me a little about the competition we would be facing. To be honest, if you told me what might be PREVENTING us from winning a championship, that would actually be more useful information.
Either way, I really think player recruiting should be limited to the Marketplace. Some free agents dont want to be contacted. If I really wanted to be contacted by non-WEPL teams, I would have put an ad up in the Marketplace.
