Yes, it's true. And yes, it was in the works for a few weeks now. I didn't say anything because i didn't expect us to remain in BBB2, and since we would be leaving either way, the impact to BBB2 was, in my opinion, minimal & thus didn't warrant mention.

That said, since, thanks to Bort.. we are still in BBB2, and totally f'ed up until someone decides to bloody reset the damn team like it was supposed to be done, but wasn't, and now may or may not be done anytime soon, i figured i might as awell say something.

Also.. please don't send invites to me about players or any sort of team positions. The consideration is appreciated, but as was mentioned, i'm trying to reduce my GLB footprint. Between the cluster that this reset has become, and the littany of PM's attempting to woo me to what are apparently the best teams GLB has ever seen, yet have never heard of that are not support telling me that the team will or won't be reset.. i'm sort of in a generally foul mood (compared to my usual pleasant, upbeat, and overall warming disposition) Chances are you will just get a mouthful of me bitching about how the team reset didn't go properly.

Best of luck to you folks next season, and in the event that Bort STILL hasn't wiped the team clean or whether it's under new management.. have fun settling your old scores to your hearts content. And when you beat them senseless, tell them it's nuthin personal, but that you've got 4 seasons of sandbagging to make up for, and you've got one season to do it.

well, your team wasn't promoted cause it was sold/defaulted.
and it's not gutted yet because i think he wanted to give owners
another shot at renewing. you choose not to, it should be a done
deal on disbanding. it's already marked as cpu.

i'll refrain from sending pms but it goes without saying that if
you're interested in joining the cubes for a fight, you are most
welcome. obviously we're not god's gift to [what will be] usa#5,
but i think we have a past of mutual respect. your call tho. oddly
enough your, ahem, personality would fit quite well with our crew.
i'll leave it up to you. i'm sure you have more appealing prospects.

I KNOW it wasn't promoted.. it wasn't meant to be. I sold it so it WOULDN'T be promoted because that's what Bort said would be best in the admin message and i didn't want to screw up the upper league by sending a cpu team up, since that was not in the spirit of the purpose of realignment. The team is NOT going to be what it is now.. because everyone is going to go. The only reason we aren't gone, is because Bort reset our player contracts after they were approved (i still have the screen that shows everyone with season 5 day 40 releases. The team should have been wiped by now & primed for new ownership by now. I had it setup to be a smooth exit for everyone on board, and a new person could get a clean slate, no messy requests for releases, no worrying who stays or goes.. we just needed our little awards and what not and we'd be on our merry way. We didn't get any awards (regular OR post season), we didn't get our releases, the teams NOT a clean slate and now it's a mess for everyone involved. And i'm pissed, because i tried to do it the way bort asked, and got screwed (and as of now, screwed all my eligible players/GMs out of any awards or recognition), when if i had been selfish about it, and let the team get promoted, then released everyone, then sold the team, i'd have had no worries. So when the system rewards purposefully screwing other teams and your league, and punishes people who try to do what the powers that be tell them to, and then get no immediate recourse.. well, that's the part that bothers me. And because it keeps getting pushed out every damned day.. i can't just let it go and move past it. I have to follow this crap every day to see if there's anything i may still need to do to make sure all my agents/GMs are fully taken care of because it's becoming painfully evident that if i don't monitor every little thing.. it's going to get overlooked and or simply not done.

Rant aside.. was fun playing with you guys as well, friendly rivalry and all.

i guess what i'm saying is the way i read things is that you're not
gutted cause he wanted to give owners one more shot, but as long as
you don't say anything, the panthers will be gone.

cpu team is already free reign for players to sign wherever the want.
and you're the owner/gm so you can certainly release whoever you want.
i'm not in this tree of the league anymore, or won't be soon enough
(unless Bort screws us again), but i actually do respect your attempt
to not screw over a#1, and you didn't. at this point it seems like your
agents are free, players are free, you're free to retire whomever, and
so i'm not sure what the contention is.

the team's done. you just have a "in case you forgot" clause giving
you one last chance for the next day or two.

i very well could be misreading, and wouldn't put it past bortesque
behavior that i'm incorrect, however.

actually, bort's announcement said there was a bug with the setup, it was accidental that the contracts got messed up. He also said the awards script was busted, as it was based on roster at the time of the run, not based on the roster at the time the awards should be given out. This means he wanted to fix it and then rerun it. Supposedly this weekend. What Is true is that being on a cpu team means that your players are all basically free agents, and are still free to sign with whatever team they want. I don't remember what happens to the ones that want to retire, they might have to wait till bort actually sorts through it all. I'm assuming retirement has to wait given your mood. anyway, just htought I'd try to be helpful.
