Not much hope for that team in this league. I imagined that we could work our way up to 7, 8, 9 wins, but the scenario just did not play out and after a season of a lot of effort we were really no better than we were the season before so I could see the handwriting on the wall so to speak. I wanted to sell it before the season ended so it could get relegated like a normal sold team in order to prevent a CPU in USA Pro next season, to give an extra team from AAA a chance to compete in the Pros, to give my players on the team who were all very great teammates a chance to find a solid team where they can contribute before season 6 starts, and to give someone else a chance to own a team.

first class, imo.

Huh?

Yeah class isn't what comes to mind here.

Then what does? Might as well go ahead and say it.

I don't think class or no has anything to do with it. My team was not successful so I sold it and next season it will get bumped all the way to the bottom, someone new can buy it, and one more team will get promoted from AAA and have a chance to compete in the pros. That is pretty much all there is to it.

Sounds pretty classy to me. It certainly not a bad thing.

My reaction wasn't meant as a slight, just to clarify.

I just didn't understand how someone read tpat's post and came up with "first class, imo" as the appropriate response. The post had nothing to do with being classy or not IMO. It was just an explanation of why he gave up the team. "first class, imo" seemed about as random a response as anyone could have come up with...

As tpat and I both pointed out (and I presume Chad was pointing out also) what on Earth does class have to do with any of that?

If tpat had given up the team for a different reason - say "because cows don't fly" - would that have been classy? Seriously, tpat is a good guy. His explanation for giving up the team has nothing to do with class or no class... heck, he even said that himself.

Well, honestly, him doing this now basically ensures that my own team gets into AAA next season. Because throwing two picks inside the Gamblers 10 in my conference final pretty much fucked over the conventional way of promoting to AAA.

So when tpat gave his reasons, by doing it now, instead of early next season, he does more then help out another team get up to Pro.

as to why it was such a short response, sorry, was in glb chat also. Although I must admit I'm not entirely sure how my comment could have been meant as anything other then me thinking his decision to do this before the reorg was a classy measure.

Then again, the internet isn't the optimal communication either, so...

Will be interesting to see which AAA fills the spot. Pretty' sure Honolulu is in, maybe Parma or Fresno?
