Just a related note,
my brother's TE got a +1 Juke SA, so I've convinced him to go high agility rather than the usual high speed.

Should be interested once he gets his agility and juke up.

Just an observation in support of Agility...

The TE's main nemesis is the LOLB, and the trend with that position is to maximize Speed. As a result, a well-built LOLB's Agility is usually only around the softcap (i.e. 50ish at level 25).

A TE with higher Agility (60s at least)will have the advantage, getting separation by quick cuts and stops (especially with the Receiving SAs). They won't be able to outrun the LOLB, but they'll definitely be able to shake them long enough to get their hands on the ball.

I approve of this strategy, and will put it into practice very soon!

Just to add onto that, it'd be best to have come-back routes, rather than a simple streak. Try talking to OC about that.

Well you post got me think X, and I just PM'd the OC about it. How does this sound:

Hey I was just thinking about our passing strategy our passing strategy and although I'm not against it, I don't think deep routes like streaks are best for my build (and future direction).

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=1266418&page=1

I posted that in the TE forum last season to gather different opinions on the build idea, and the two last posts got me thinking. As they said, the majority of LOLB's and SS's at my lvl are going to have speed as their highest stat and likely sub 50 agility. When I get my lvl 16 gear (when you can afford is fine, I'll lvl next game) I will have 68 agility, and in 4 more levels about 80 once I take it to the 61 cap.

I understand your reasoning of sending me deep because I have 49 speed, but the only reason it's that high is because I was slow building and capped it after agi. I know I say it every time lol, but I don't want you to take this as complaining or whatever. Just constructive advice/criticism to help get the most out of my build and create a mismatch.

Take this play for instance: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=257643&pbp_id=3948297

I know it's 12 yards down field, but its the one cut that makes it tough to defend. Both those defenders likely have more speed than me (evident by them running right with me), but my ~20 point advantage in agility allows me to shake them loose, get open, and pick up the first down.

Other than streaks, another route that likely won't be effective is the post corner.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=257643&pbp_id=3948420

In this case, I start out running a post and have my man beat on the initial cut leaving him behind. Him being behind though actually HELPS him recover for the second cut back outside since he is still in position from before to defend it.

Not sure if you already have a link to this, but I find it very helpful as a DC - All plays sorted by type and formation:

http://seano-glb.bravehost.com/offense.htm

Basically any plays in which I run an In, Out, Slant, Post, or Curl should have a pretty high success rate. These are all quick, one cut moves where high speed LB's should have a hard time hanging with me. As opposed to the longer developing streaks or double moves in which I will have a tough time getting separation.

I still think speed pays off though.

And don't ask me why he didn't cut around the punter at the end. He has 60 agility and 5 Quick Cut, yet he still ran right through the punter.

Oh definitely. Just looking for a different way to build a consistent receiving option at TE

Actually, from that same game, I DID find a good agility move.

Broke 2 pairs of ankles there.

Very nice play.
It's the same with HBs; both speed and agility work.

That sounds fine.
As long as you come off sounding as wanting to contribute to the team more effectively, rather than criticism, every OC will be welcome to it.

Oh yeah he knows where I'm coming from and said he appreciates any help he can get to improve the passing game. He's a relatively new owner so I've just been trying to use my previous experiences to help him with the AI.

Just boosted and Agility is now 2nd capped:

Strength: 24.5
Blocking: 21.5
Speed: 50.22
Tackling: 13.22
Agility: 77.22 (61.22)
Throwing: 8
Jumping: 19
Catching: 50.5
Stamina: 21.22
Carrying: 13.22
Vision: 23.5
Kicking: 8
Confidence: 13.22
Punting: 8

Any suggestions of what to do with me final 5 SP (and in future)? I'm considering bringing speed to 2nd cap, but have also thought about capping vision or jumping. Thanks

Speed and agility. You should train vision and jumping.

My thoughts are, and this is just general build advice: get things capped ASAP. I'd save the SP until you're ready to cap vision or jumping. Unless you really want to go crazy and triple cap agility.

Hit the next cap in catching. Will increasing your catching radius like crazy.
Jumping to cap, vision to cap.
