No idea, but unless you're getting picked off 24/7 and sacked I don't think it is necessary.

I would like to add though that adding confidence (to any position) will improve you Overall scouting bar. I've noticed it now with my TE and QB. I know people love those scouting bars and think they mean a whole lot of nothing, but I figured it is something worth mentioning.

Confidence actually increases the Passing scouting bar too.

I think you're right though, I'm going to leave confidence at soft cap and continue working on Throwing and Vision.

Although this is a totally different position I'm starting to wonder of the importance of the importance of strength if this kicker with only 21 strength can make 50+ yard FGs. Incidentally he also has high confidence.

Strength having anything to do with interceptions is a bunch of garbage. We do know there is a random number generator that could lead to some, and poor builds leading to others, and tough competition also probably plays a significant role.

I would prefer confidence over strength any day of the week. And if I remember correctly, your two primary attributes when rolling your QB will always be confidence and throwing.

Take that for what it's worth.

I would go with strength. My QB gets sacked fairly frequently and does pretty good without confidence soft-capped. His strength is fairly high though. The way I look at it, is if a WR makes a break, I want the ball to get there as quick as possible so the CB doesn't have a chance to PD or INT. The quicker the ball gets there the lower the chance of PD's or INTs. I think confidence in the mid 30's is sufficient.

I might experiment next season and raise my confidence a bit to see what all the fuss is about though.

You really never know with this game. One owner(Taha) started his center at QB and he actually put up some decent numbers, even throwing a TD pass.

That must be a very lucky strike, even though, Taha hates people that uses players in positions not ment for them!

I don't know if it's been mentioned here. You would think that you are throwing it far now right. WHy use more str? well it's simple. the farther you throw the worse the pass gets over distance.

most quarterback in the game can make the throws. I'm just going to make this up to try to explain it, this isn't how the game exactly works.

You have a quarterback with 35 str.
you have a quarterback with 66 str.

looking at replays they seem to be able to throw the same distance.

But when you look at over all quality of the pass as it goes further and further, the quarterback with higher str can throw a more perfect pass at a longer distance.

meaning with 35 str you could throw perfect passes, let's say 45 yards. then at 46 yards the pass quality goes down, and down, and down, and down some more the farther it goes.

with 66 str the pass quality will stay nearly perfect the whole throw.

So basically same distance, Just a better all around throw with higher str.

That's just one of many reasons.

and tight spiral kicks A, btw.

i wonder about confidence myself. here is my build

Max fire
level 20
strength 27.73
speed 13.8
agility 13.8
jumping 13.8
stamina 23.6
vision 52.78
confidence 22.6
blocking 9
tackling 9
throwing 90.92
catching 13.8
carrying 13.8
kicking 8
punting 8

i have had one pick all year and average around 60 percent completions. i would say that the confidence is hurting me much at all and could just use strength more, am i wrong or just misreading stats. i have taken a few sacks with my qb, will confidence help stop that or is it an agility problem with the qb or a line problem

definently need strength, more vision, and probably more confidence. i would try to get vision to 60, and strength to 40. then work on getting confidence to 35 or so. Maybe just train confidence for now.

I need to work on strength now that I threw my first pick of the season in the conference final. I knew if I even posted in this thread I would jinx myself and it came back to bite me.o_O
