Except that we all accepted the forum rules (without reading them, of course). I really don't care either way but rules is rules. There must be order!

I am not a huge language offender and/or poster but I personally am entertained by the threads and the bitching back and forth. It helps break up the monotony of the day. This forum has always been that way and we all know it. It's no different than a TV show, if you know you don't like what's in it, you change the channel. If this forum offends you, don't read it! To me, it really is that simple.

To me the issue is simple and has 2 parts:
1) There are minors who play this game that shouldn't see some of the stuff that goes into these boards. If a kid hears it from his parents' mouths, that's one thing. Seeing it here is not the parent's fault...this isn't blame the victim.
2) Even if you dispute the first point, you all agreed to the forum rules. I didn't read them either, but I'm sure it said that if you violate said rules, they can ban you forever. Unless you hold an ownership stake in this site, you can be banned. The First Amendment does not extend to a privately owned messageboard. If you agreed to the forum rules (which if you're posting you had to do so), you can be banned forever for violating them. Period. End of story. Either live it, get banned, or just leave and start your own game and make your own forum rules. If the game succeeds it does. If it doesn't, it doesn't. I think life will go on just as it did this time last year.
But when you clicked agree, you gave up your right to post things against that agreement. That's just the facts. I personally think some reasonable trash talk should be allowed, but where do you draw the line? Who draws it? I don't know the answers...the only thing I do know is that if they decide to crack down on it, either live with it or move on. Other than create your own private R-rated forum, there's nothing you can do about it.
