Their punter is amazing though, have you see his punt skill? Jesus, I thought CPU players sucked.

As the previous owner I must let everyone know that giving up the Silver Shock was a very hard decision for me to make. I love the competition this league offered and I think we were on the right track. The final straw for me was Hurricane Ike. I not only live in Houston but because my job is in social services I was working 12 hour days until just recently. Unfortunately that left very little time to properly manage the team which as many of you know is much more time consuming now than in previous seasons. I lost some very key players who were replaced by CPU players and that is the kiss of death for a team since not many human players want to go to a team in this league with CPU players.

No. All the guys on here are fine.

The site was sold to an internet conglomerate that has no say in how that place is run, so the Moderators have free reign. The political talk moderator is very liberal and has a hot head. He decided to ban all of the republican posters, after we started making sense.

I was banned after I called Obama a Marxist. He spouted off about how people are throwing that word around and how it's unfair hate speech, so I gave specific examples citing Obama's speeches and the Communist Manifesto. Bam! Banned.

While I don't agree with the Marxist comment, it is hardly a bannable offense... I hate boards that don't allow a free-exchange and ban people for this type of thing...

Sorry to hear it, umballa. Good luck with everything.

If you can get out of town for the holidays, do that. A week in Dallas would do you more good than you know. I went to Atlanta for a week about six months after Katrina and didn't know until I had been there a couple of days how much I needed to get away from all that. If you can, go someplace where people don't say "How'd you do?" meaning "Do you still have a house."

Hang in there. It'll take a while, and it probably won't ever be back to normal, but there'll be a new normal.

Bort made cpu's a little more useful to help make gut teams a slightly less pushover and not skew the numbers as much.

I agree with this comment. I also heard it on talk radio last week. Of course you can't put too much stock into opinions - even if it was a Republican radio station, but this comment I'm on board with.

Don't want to change the topic of this thread, but I'd hate to see him elected. 'Course I'd stand behind him if he was, though.

When you say you would stand behind him, do you mean you would be a supporter of his or do you mean you would not stand in front of him because of sniper bullets?

LOL I meant I would support him until he made a mistake - meaning I wouldn't be standing in the line of fire.

Maybe I'll just screw the whole thing and go for Ron Paul.
