The PAC10? Give me a break. Now, USC is a good team, but that's all the PAC10 has.

The Big 12 is up there this year, but the SEC had 5 teams in the top 10 a few weeks ago. It's hard to say which conference is better this year, but those are definitely the elite conferences this season.

thats all they have this year.

on a normal year, oregon state, oregon, washington state, cal, UCLA are all top contenders, and now you have to include arizona state too.

Ok, Oregon has been pretty good the last 10 years or so. I'll give you that. Cal was good for a couple of seasons. I remember WState being good when Ryan Leaf was there. Arizona State was ok last year, but highly over-ranked. I can't remember Oregon State or UCLA being good recently.

Oregon State Has finished with 10 wins for several seasons in a row.
they always have a slow start.

UCLA has been kinda down recently.

and Oregon IMO has been overrated just about every season... last year was different however.

They arn't as strong as Oregon State this year, but they still seem to be rated higher.

and Arizona State has Dennis Erickson, you really cant doubt that.
Cal was good last year as well...
and they always are pretty strong.

Oregon State has not had 10 wins for several seasons in a row. They won 9 last year and 10 the year before that. They had a losing season the year before that.

9 and 10.
thats always respectable.

as for the losing season.
it was a building year.
every team has that.

btw.
im not a big enough of a pac 10 homer to look this shit up.

but i will tell you...
pac 10 players have turned out rather well.

its a tough confrence.
no way you can straight up say the SEC is stronger.
(although i wish that the SEC and the Pac10 had more matchups, in bowl games etc.)

Gonna have to argue that having the most NFL players doesn't make you the best college team. The QB spot seems to be the most glaring I've seen lots of great college QB's be flops in NFL because the 2 styles of play are so different.
