I don't see how this is any different from all the other CBs out there.

He's a level 11. He hasn't even started his career.

He is built the best he can be for his level/future right now. At level 14 or 15, he will be your typical 50/50/50 CB.

Starting from there is where he will start to branch out and grow.

I'm doing something quite similar, and at an almost equivalent level. If you do actually keep this updated, I'll be very curious to see how our CBs parallel/diverge over time.

Thanks.

Why? Vision and stamina look like bigger problems, but over all this looks like a decent build for a lv 11.

yea what would I know...

While I like to see the "community service" project (there are many really atrocious CBs out there, and very very few really good ones), I will point out that you are not really showing folks how to build a CB in real time...you are showing what the product of a slow-built CB will look lie several seasons down the line.

To do this project justice, it might be interesting to make a build that is a little more playable as he levels up.

Most folks don't like to defer quite so much gratification

If people wanted to find out what a good CB was they would read the forums and get their info right away...Instead of checking every few days to see if you have updated your CB build blog. haha...thats why you need a longterm plan...keep people interested.

I know I am saving SP's, but Dee better right now with 16 unused Sp's than 90% of the CB's out there that are his level.

I don't think you can argue against that.

If someone wants to see a good CB get built and wants to understand how to build them in a good way, they just need to watch Dee grow.

Britdevine, I for one am glad you are doing this and I'm not about to argue your process. Please keep this updated as Dee grows. It is definitely helping me.

Basically doing the same thing with my CB, except I'm just taking speed/agility/vision all to the second soft cap, lol. These are my current BASE attributes as a level 19:

Strength: 14.5 Blocking: 9
Speed: 60.37 Tackling: 14.5
Agility: 53.58 Throwing: 9
Jumping: 23.37 Catching: 16.96
Stamina: 24.32 Carrying: 14.5
Vision: 51.97 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 14.5 Punting: 8

Yes I did slow build, and yes I do realize that if I'm aiming for the second cap that it would be even better to keep training hold off putting any points in until I have enough to 2nd-cap it immediately, but I wanted to see him progress from 50/50/50 to 60/60/60 on the field.

The best thing about this is you can just intense train stamina/jumping during the whole thing.

Updated to say Dee will focus on capping all major important attributes before any SA's are invested in.

Spd/Agil/Vison/Jumping/Str/Catching and maybe tackle.
