This is why this game is so addicting.. I enjoy the fact that Bort refuses to go into specifics on a lot of things, thus spurring all the discussion. If not, then we would have 10,000 LB's all built in the exact same fashion.
With that said, my new LB is being built in the mold you suggested, with a slight tweak towards how my MLB is currently built.
