I've tried both, and ended up staying with one:

Speed OVER agility. Now, now.. I've seen both be successful, but I've been more successful with jacked up speed than agility. I do plan to raise my agility with I boost next season though. Speed is now up to 4 SPs.

70 agility really ought to be enough...hard to say for sure though. I think once you start loading up on TV you will get more sacks, but maybe you want to get speed to 60 (65 with eq) first. if you can afford it, try switching 1 piece and see if it makes a difference.

Either can work to the extreme.

but speed > agility because you can do more than just get sacks.

Think about it.

If there was a legitimate DE coming out of college who had 4.2 speed off the edge, would he be the first overall pick?

In a heart beat.

lol, that was a stupid statement to make.

Actually, I don't think it was stupid at all...though I do think that it serves to make a point beyond what was likely intended.

I went out on a limb to call it stupid but a 4.2 DE would likely have no pass rushing capabilities if their was an offensive tackle in front of him.

"If there was a legitimate DE coming out of college who had 4.2 speed off the edge, would he be the first overall pick?"

I already qualified that the DE must be legitimate in my example

Agreed. And if Vernon Davis had had anyone but Alex Smith throwing to him, he would've been at least a good receiving TE. Don't expect everyone to pull a Randy Moss out of college.

So how much speed is enough? We've got a guy with 85 speed, 6 in tunnel vision and 50+ in agility and strength and he can't get close to a QB.

He's rushing on ellusive...is that the issue?

Needs 15+ more agility imo.

I have better luck on combo but I think most use elusive, I don't have any luck on that. Here's a sack on elusive:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=149317&pbp_id=6509323
If he wasn't playing against a lvl 9 tackle there's no way he runs over him.
Here's one on combo:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=149315&pbp_id=5399416
Level 34 (33 at the time) tackle

Must be my build, I seem to do better on combo.......

Agility > Speed imo

But they should be within 5-10 of each other.
