Nice idea, i've got speed to 66 now - i wont move any more as i don't want to mess up my other attributes too much.

After i level up i'll be able to get my speed to 69.92, and with the natural levelling i'll hit 70.

If you don't cause fumbles with 5 in monster hit, everything capped, and 70 speed, I think Bort just hates you.

One of my backers has 5 FFs and hasn't changed from wrap up since last season. Never forced a single fumble using power tackling.

Speed kills for getting fumbles. 70 isn't even a lot of speed for a LB IMO. I just moved a piece of equipment off speed (+5% to FF!) and I'm still over 80. Since I got that piece of equipment, I have 3 FF in the last two games. I'm hoping to get a few on punts, since I'm the gunner now. Once I get my tackling trained to the softcap and I can feel safe to take my tackling off wrap-up, I think I'm going to be a fumble beast.

Well, I meant versus real life football. In real football, more fumbles happen conventionally versus on returns.

actually I would say in the NFL teams have a much greater chance of fumbling on special teams than on offense.

It would be a legitimate debate, I would agree, but I'm too lazy to look it up. In any case, I was commenting moreso on forced fumbles versus returners that muff the catch.

It makes me wonder if there is a momentum variable to see how much force you slam into a guy at, then check to see if the carrier's carrying and strength can withstand it?

A ton of Speed RB's (like mine) are having problems with fumbling this year, even when carrying is soft capped. I think it has something to do with an 85+ Speed back running head on into a 70+ Speed Linebacker. That's a one hell of a collision.

You'd have to look up per capita. Sure, in a year, a team may have 20 regular fumbles and 4 special teams fumbles, but they ran a lot more regular plays. The percentage is what you'd need to find

Also, special teams players tend to just not be as good as the starters. Sure, there are great kick returners, but there are also crappy wideouts pressed into the duty with shaky hands. They tend to be younger and not as good, so of course they'd fumble more.
