Just really irritates me that some of the top leagues don't even have their freaking bottom bowls finished. That's just completely irresponsible and moronic.

interesting.... you turned around a bad situation? Without welfare checks from the rest of the league? GET OUT!!!!

revenue sharing really irritates me. We have built a competitive team with a stadium that crushes all of the other top teams in our league... in other words, we played the game better on ALL LEVELS.

Really pisses me off that instead of reaping the benefits, we'll be paying for other teams to benefit... that is. unless i shaft everybody with our ticket prices, which I'm really considering.

I couldn't agree more.

Omaha #12? Seems a little low? We have a very tough second half of the season, it might be justified?

looks about right susie..... consider this is east and west combined. I really don't know who i would move Omaha above on that list.......

And talk about a team where if the owner put their own players on it it would be an instant top 2 team....... wow.

Hugely ignorant post. I mean, I guess if you don't want the game to be fair, even in the slightest, then it makes sense to oppose revenue sharing. Because of the ridiculous advantage top 4 seeds have over the rest of the conference, growth is exponential for those clubs, while constant for everyone else. Not everyone bought their team in season 1 and started with an even playing field.

I'd argue that despite your head start Otto's played the game better than you on almost all levels. We didn't even get any playoff money until last season, and had to split that revenue between stadium expansion, equipment, and new contracts. We didn't even get all that much because we'd been unable to expand our stadium much to that point. We've had to play the game perfectly to go from the 'have-nots' to the 'haves', and that gap gets wider every time the average level in the league reaches another equipment milestone. To the point where I don't think we could make that transition today.

Revenue sharing is the only way to make the league competitive, rather than what it has been the past few seasons: 3-4 top teams per conference with no one able to compete with them. Fucking boring is what it is. So bitch if you want, but even the NFL thinks you're wrong.

really? You think I just woke up one day and we had a huge stadium? We've hosted a grand total of 4 playoff games.... 3 were in season 2 when we had a huge 2 section stadium. Yup, we pulled down MASSIVE amounts of cash that year......

The truth is, our stadium has been a priority since day 1. All of the contracts we signed season 2 were minimum deals. I definitely missed out on recruits because of it, but we kept going. Every dime of extra money we've had each season has gone back into the stadium. The first day of ticket sales, all money went back into filling out the sections we'd built.

We didn't hand out huge deals and huge bonuses until last season, and that was after we had paid for every possible section to be added in the offseason.

Meanwhile, teams that couldn't afford it dumped huge deals, and huge bonuses into trying to lure in the next best thing. That's their fault. If you can't pay for equipment, that's too damned bad. That's your own poor planning. That should be your wake-up call to build up your damned stadium.........

As far as this years playoffs, try to get a welfare check from OTR. I'll be setting my tickets to 1 dollar and just go with the rewards of concessions.

I agree that teams that spend their money unwisely are undeserving of shared revenue, but they're also typically not the teams that make the playoffs.

But if the goal is top 4 seed or bust, why even try for a lower seed? If there's actually an incentive to make the playoffs as a lower seed, you can bet teams will actually bust their ass to get there, rather than have most of their players give up halfway through the season.

You guys have been around the longest, and have been successful the longest. I get that you feel you've earned the right to be a step above everyone else. But to oppose a measure that allows any other team to be competitive with you is, IMHO, intellectually dishonest.

Why would you want to just be the last seed, You should want to be the top seed a reep the benifits from that with ticket sales.

Fuck that man im with tooley and the rest of the smart owners that gave a shit about their stadium and their teams future.

driftin you said it we EARNED the right to be a step above anyone else, and everyone else needs to earn the right to be on our level, not giftwraped and handed to them.

For some teams, the only option at this point is to try and make the playoffs. There's still benefit in being a top 4 seed, since the majority of ticket and concession sales still go to the higher seed.

The stadium is one facet of the game. We've dumped every spare dollar into the stadium as well, but you can see there weren't many dollars to spare until we actually won games. It's a catch-22.

Not talking about giftwrapping, I'm talking about leveling the playing field just a little.

its not a rebuild over night deal, look at norse... he got a team with minimal upgrades but hes making things right. working on the stadium first rather than try and be competitive right now. if you are looking to buy a team and become competeitive right now look for an expansion team dont buy a gutted team.

I GM a team that was undefeated in its expansion season. We were ousted in the conference finals, but the money we earned made it impossible for teams to challenge us. And they didn't, we went 20-0 in our second season without breaking a sweat.

We reaped the benefits of the system, but I still say that system is lopsided.
