That level 29 center probably had 15-20 points of strength on you....

It wouldnt matter if he did. My level 26 DT had 91 strength, 60+ agility and 48 speed yet he doesnt have a sack or hurry this season, Bort needs to nerf Olineman or increase the effect of DT's SA's.

We should start a topic in the forums for this, get everyone on here involved, just like the DE did for their rushing.

I agree. DT's are completely inneffective right now.

Hmmm...I actually believe that my DTs are the key tomy teams success. It really depends on your expectations for the position though.

I want my DTs to shutdown the run up the middle (which they do).
Take out blockers so my LBs can penetrate on the outside runs (whihc they mostly do).
Provide a good push up the middle on pass rush, so my DEs can have good angles (which they do)
Wear down the O-line so that I own the second half (which they definitely do).

Most of this doesn't really result in a lot of stats, but when I watch the replays I am always happy with my DTs. On the increasingly rare occassions when folks try to run on me, my DT (NTs and DTs both) get tackles for very short gains (2.5 yards and under) and TFLs.

I think DTs are perfectly balanced at the moment. Season 3 was the aberration, where DTs would just shred the blocking.

1xx strength 7x blocking 5x agility 4x speed, thats how my center will be at the end of the season when i add the points i have been saving, actually u don't need that much on tackling u'll always be covered i really want to see how a NT w/o tackling can do against my center or any other.

Seriously. DT's are rarely effective in real life. They are there to take up space. How many NFL DT's do you see getting 4+ sacks a game with 10+ tackles. It's not going to happen.

How many anythings do you see getting 4+ sacks a game and 10+ tackles? Sack record is 22 for a season if I remember correctly, not 64.

A great season in the NFL by a DE is around 15-16 sacks. The record is like 22 1/2 or something around there.

A great season in the NFL by a DT is around 8-10 sacks. I don't know the record, But I remember Warrne Sapp having 16 1/2 one season.

Just by comparrsion, if GLB DE's can get 70+ sacks, we should see at least a few DT's getting close to 30. As it stands, some of the best DT's around might approach 20 sacks if they play 4 or more totally gutted teams, a DE on one of my teams already has 40 something and we haven't played any gutted teams at all.

You guys have to remember that in GLB, there is a wide range of players, both in build quality and levels. You cant compare a computer game to the NFL, Bort can never duplicate real life with a computer game, so the numbers will always be skewed.

I'm not saying the stats should be like the NFL, I'm saying that saying that DTs don't get 4+ sacks a game in real life is retarded because no one does that.

again, you are comparing a computer game with the real thing, you have to seperate the two.

Again, I'm not making the comparison, the guy above me made that comparison and I said he's retarded to make that comparison.

I'm just gonna write this out all the way so it won't be more explanations time. He made a comparison that DTs don't get 4+ sacks a game in the NFL, what I said is that no one gets that many sacks in the NFL, why even say that? Especially since this is GLB and not the NFL and there's no real comparison other than the F in NFL.
