Id love to bring teams up based on level, no matter what part of the EE Region they are in. That team looks like it should be in Pro, so lets get them up here, simple enough.

We will make sure to not come up next season. According to Randy we are everything that is wrong with GLB and according to his ego we cant compete with him anyway.

To expand, based on level alone is a stupid idea. Stadium has to be complete or near completion or that team will have no chance...Unlike Randy, some of us have build teams from the ground up and even with partial success, the Canadian A team I work hard with to get going is having an extremely difficult time building out...If they get moved up (possible), they will have pretty big issues...and I can tell you there are quite a few teams that can give us a run in A ball this season....so it isn't a competition thing.

I am very happy they are doing this, it's tough to be one of those not competitive teams and struggle your butt off. I pm'd support about this last season asking to be demoted and I even found a willing trade partner in AAA that wanted to swap places with me, but support was no help.
But what happens if I make the cut to stay in EE Pro? I will be that much worse next year because the teams I could beat will all be gone.

Your team is very close to what would be a "cutoff" point. With some recruiting you could be there. I'd leave you alone as I don't think we will be that "tight" for spots. The less demotions the better. You would be facing the same scenario on AAA as well so I feel safe in saying you've "earned" the right to stay here. Recruit the missing pieces and you'll be solid.

This is the inherent problem with this game "recruit the pieces"...Uh huh...Yeah...Basically, if agents you enjoy and are fun, active participants choose not to boost...Well then...Kaput. Ya gotta pay to succeed, for the most part. Very boring. The forums, not the game, is where I enjoy this the most now. Being recruiter for two seasons on a startup now has taught me that.

It's difficult to say we will have 16 fiercely competitive teams up here after only having two in alpha (so far, adjustments are possible). That's obviously a goal but I doubt we can see that happen. 10 would be perfect and six more on gutted but improving teams. Due to the dynamics of GLB 16 is literally impossible.
EDIT: Yeah, recruiting for newer teams taught me what the new guys go through. Damn.

This is what Randy has no idea of, IMO...It's so hard to start from the ground up as far as building out your stadium, much less quality players, that you see a bunch try to grab as best of players as you possibly can to stay competitive enough to just buy one piece of measly stadium...Randy nerfed that sumb*tch from day 1...He has no idea what a mother f'er it is. It really borked my viewpoint of this game. Big time. It's one thing to lose...It's a whole 'nother thing for the game to be completely reliant on (1) paying and (2) getting over the stadium threshold...
And I come from a sports forum where we can tap, and do tap, on countless player resource that has been here from season 1...Every team made has struggled financially ...Heck, Helsinki struggled mightily up until, no sh*t, this season...to the point where we were literally considering NOT paying 24 equipment upgrades for the playoffs two seasons ago...which probably would have lost us the game to Prague...Mind you, coming off a conference championship season in AAA. That's horsecrap. I tire of it.

This game is money driven, in multiple ways. The in-game money needs to be balanced a bit. I see teams with 100+ mill from home field advantage but for one example I can use quickly
Detroit is 39-9 over the last three seasons and doesn't even have "max" support yet. How does that work? If consistent success (playoff berths every year) doesn't bring in the money..what does? We'll max it easily in Pro due to the gut jobs but damn. There's a striking imbalance that needs to be addressed related to in game money.
You'll see a lot of today's title winners will be teams wehre the owner is a lot of the players on the team as recruiting solid builds is all but impossible for the lower teams building up.

This is something else Randy does not realize but yet he bitches about constantly.
Its hard to build a team with guys you dont know. Its easier to stay in the game if your around guys you get along with. Fox News did not want to keep spening the $200 a month to keep every player on the team and myself and a few guys on my team didnt want to spend the money either. Quick and easy solution was to merge. This kept it much more interesting to us becuase we are around people we get along with and it was much easier on our wallets. Did it hurt some competition? Yes, but when people bitch like a 3 month old baby about it, does not make people regret their decisions.
Eventually things will even out, but until then people need to think of themselves first and everyone else secondary. Im sorry Randy does not agree with me, but then again, I dont care. My money and my time is just that, Mine. I will do what I want with it.

You guys are all right, I have the benefit of stepping into a good situation stadium wise and being able to invest more in my stadium. My problem is that I cannot recruit players to my team. They look at my team average level 23.7 and look at the rest of the league and see teams loaded with 30+ players and there is no way they will sign with me. I have three LBs on my defense making max salary with max bonuses and they are not that good. If money was worth more, i could compete pretty quickly b/c i could buy players, but 90% of FA's don't give two shits about money, and 75% don't care about starting PT, they want to be on a playoff team.
Then if i do get those players and we don't get it turned around, several are not going to resign.
They best thing for me would be to drop to a lower tier, hold what i have, and grow my team that way. And yes dropping to AAA wouldn't be doing me a big favor as i couldn't really compete their either.
I've slung the BS, I've talked a good game, I've thrown money and PT around, it's not working for a non-competitive team.

With Borts fix this will not happen to people in the future.
