I love this idea, but now that I think about it, it may be even more affective for an HB. The only reason I say that is because the HB could get the first step to accelerate through a hole and change direction to make guys miss. Wait a second...

Tea Baggins?

No one ever said it did. I merely stated that unless Visc puts his High speed/First Step receiver on his own team, he is likely to face stigmatization by owners or OC's who believe you don't have enough agility thus relegating you to special teams.

3rd on the team in tackles that game.

Pretty nice actually. I didnt realize he was a WR until i clicked on him.

I made my WR with the idea to do pretty much the same thing, minus the Quick Cut. Cap speed, cap agility, max First Step. Maybe I can pair him with my same-leveled QB someday to make a great tandem.

Is there really any hard proof of Quick Cut being beneficial over not having Quick Cut? I remember a couple seasons ago, I made a HB and got his Quick Cut to 9 after capping Agility. He sucked. Badly. In the D-Leagues. That's saying something. It seems ultimately more beneficial to get speed higher and only worry about First Step to 9 rather tha both First Step and Quick Cut. I'm not sure, though, because I've never seen a good Quick Cut-based build.

I'm pretty sure this is Quick Cut working on my HB (he has 10 in Quick Cut):

This isn't a long run, but look how he gets to the outside:

Unless it's the main focus of a build, I'd recommend just getting it to 6 (5 +1 from custom equipment), as I haven't noticed that much of a vast difference since then.

That's because you didn't build your player correctly.

Are you really saying that as a D-League RB, you already had Soft-Capped Agility and 9 in Quick Cut?

What was his Speed.. 18?

LOL.

Think about it.

UPDATE: I haven't put points in First Step or Quick Cut for Usain Bolt yet, he's just past the 4:1 cap but I'm still considering whether to go to 5:1 cap (73.25).

With his low agility his cuts are ridiculously slow, he almost stops when he turns.

His acceleration isn't that bad though:

I say go to the 6 cap at 77, 5 cap at the very least. You may have some growing pains early since you are speed heavy, the higher the cap, the higher your long term benefit.

With that kind of speed, I wouldnt even touch Quick Cut. Just make Usain a straight burner and pump first step. Put him in the WR slot which runs the most straight routes and watch him get in behind. As for the cap, I would say getting to the 5:1 cap would be a great long-term investment, but would be a great delay to your players overall 'playing' career.
