Those are the two things I noticed the most. Every season Orlando has played us except last season (when we played in game 1) bucblizzard boosted his players and/or brought in some more players for the game, I think he did the same this season.

Yeah... I was saying Orlando was unboosted when they played Reno...

I honestly expected some kind of response... Guess no one argues with my assessment.

re posting in case you missed it:

Updated after Game 4:

1) Bayou Bandits: Undefeated after facing 3 top tier teams. The next three games should be downhill, but there's always potential for a sleeper upset.

2) Huntsville Rockets: I'd say it's a toss-up between them and Bayou at this point for #1 and #2. With one loss to a team Bayou beat, I've got to put them #2 for now. Huntsville is probably going to need to beat the Bandits since they drew a tough out of conference opponent which could beat them, and the Bandits drew a second tier team.

3) Florida BeachDogZ - I'm not trying to slag an undefeated team, but I'm hesitant to rank them any higher until they play some top tier competition.

4) Orlando Soul: Held up against the Bandits better than Cleveland or Maryland. I'd put you at #3, but my LB only got 1 tackle in that game. I don't appreciate being schemed against. :-)

5) Maryland Predators: Have looked good against some legit teams, but that big loss to Bayou is holding them down. This is possibly a top 4 team at the end of the season.

On the Fence (in no particular order):

Reno Knights: I would like to rank them higher, but that week one loss to Maryland makes me second guess doing so.

Rochester Dragons: Got doubled up by Florida. We'll have to see how they recover down the stretch.

Cleveland Dawg Pound: This is a legit playoff team, but I don't think they're home game material this season.

Potential playoff teams:

Battle Creek Bombers: These guys have a wicked 4 game stretch coming up that should let us know where they stand. Unfortunately, I don't think they come out of it better than 2-2.

Hartford Hustlers: Lost to an unboosted Orlando team. If these guys want to make the playoffs, they're going to have to pick it up.

Updated after Game 5:

1) Bayou Bandits: Handled their business this week. 2 more weeks off until they play the Dragons.

2) Huntsville Rockets: I still like Huntsville as the #2 team. They doubled up a very game Rochester squad.

3) Florida BeachDogZ - Showed me something this week. Battlecreek is not a pushover, and this crew handled their business.

4) Orlando Soul: Slipping a little in my book. I think their margin of victory over the reapers should have been higher.

5) Maryland Predators: Rolled up a second tier squad, and looked good doing it.

On the Fence (in order):

Reno Knights: No change here. We'll need to see these guys play Florida, or see a top 5 team drop one in order for them to move up.

Cleveland Dawg Pound: Played a second tier team this week. Not a fantastic showing, but they got the job done.

Rochester Dragons: Handled by Huntsville and so I rank them below Cleveland now. Still a solid squad. They're gonna need to pick up one from the Knights or the Bandits to stay in the thick of the playoff hunt.

Potential playoff teams:

Battle Creek Bombers: These guys need to win 2 of their next three to be in the playoff race, and I don't see it happening.

Out of the hunt:

Hartford Hustlers: Tough stretch ahead. I think these guys are out of it.

Game to watch:

Florida v. Huntsville! Battle for #2!
Prediction: Huntsville by 7

Bombers didn't play good at all, maybe we'll get this thing figured out who knows. Good job to Florida though. Not surprised by the list. Nice Job.

LOL no love for cleveland as always. Well I am one who thinks actions speak louder than words. Our team still isn't fully boosted.

Not that I really care, and I'm just happy our team is finally winning after taking over a gutted team a few seasons ago, but one of your top 5 did drop one... To us

Good to see some activity in these forums at least though, I checked them every once in a while but there wasn't much talking going on.

I'm just glad to see our team in Rochester getting things turned around. From 1-15 in season 4, I've worked hard to make us a respectable team. It's going to be like Christmas if we can manage to make the playoffs this season. Will be quite an accomplishment for our whole squad.

Updated after Game 6:

Note: I know they aren't "weeks," but that's the way I think of them... So SHUT IT!

1) Bayou Bandits: No surprise this week. An interesting note though... Allowed -87.5 rush yards on 18 rushes. I thought that was kinda neat. The reality is Bayou sacked the QB 15 times...

2) Huntsville Rockets: I'd like to thank Audio and Huntsville for validating me ranking them above an undefeated team. They beat the BeachDogz 41-7 to further hype the game 10 matchup between them and Bayou.

3) Orlando Soul: Picked up an easy win against the Alexanders. Good job guys. Looking forward to the game 8 matchup between the Soul and the Predators.

4) Maryland Predators: Squeaked by the Bombers... I'm still waiting for these guys to play up to their potential. To their credit however, Battle Creek is a legit team.

5) Florida BeachDogZ - Got HANDLED by the Rockets. I still like these guys to make the playoffs, but I don't know if they're even top 5 material now. I need to see 2 victories over the Hustlers and the Knights before I throw my hat in that ring.

On the Fence (in order):

Reno Knights: No change here for the second week. We'll need to see these guys play Florida, or see a top 5 team drop one in order for them to move up.

Cleveland Dawg Pound: Played a second tier team for the second week in a row. We'll know where they stand after their next game which is against Maryland.

Rochester Dragons: Picked up a win over the Hustlers. I expected this, and that's why I declared Hartford out of the hunt after game 5. These guys really need to pickup the win over the Knights. They've still not played most of the top tier teams in the conference, and the two that they have played ended up as losses. I don't know if 10-6 gets in this season.

Potential playoff teams:

Battle Creek Bombers: I said after game 5 that these guys needed to pick up 2 wins out of this tough 4 game stretch. I didn't think they could do it then, and I'm not budging on that assessment. I think the Dawg Pound is too much for these guys, but HEY I've been wrong before (not really).

Out of the hunt:

Hartford Hustlers: I'm officially declaring these guys MIA in the playoff hunt. They need to schedule some scrimmages and figure out what's wrong. This team is too talented to be .500 right now.
EDIT: However, a win over the as yet unproved BeachDogz, could throw them right back into it.

Games to watch:

I like the Maryland (5-1) / Cleveland (4-2) matchup this week. It gives Cleveland a chance to stake their claim to a playoff spot early in the season, IF they can pull off the upset. I don't see it happening. EDIT: Cleveland claims they aren't totally boosted. If they are in fact waiting, this is the time to do it.

my pick: Maryland

Another good one is Rochester (4-2) / Reno (5-1). Rochester is coming off of a win over Hartford, and Reno needs to make a move if they want to get into this homefield race.

my pick: Rochester in the upset
