i like the competion. last year css kicked our ass. held us to 88 yards. this year we had 300 plus yards just to many turnovers killed us. we the bootleggers are getting better everyday.

we are hoping to win 7 or 8 games this year which would be an imporment

Maybe some truth to that, but far from the whole truth.

I would say it is the "want" and "want-nots", I'll reiterate the fact that the stallions won more games last season than in previous 3 seasons combined. Sometimes, when you are recruiting, you recruit for the season after next. Don't always recruit for your next game.

I agree. That is what killed my season last year. The lack of prospects to recruit. You had level 14-16 guys wanting max level salaries plus with all the new teams that opened up there were far too many teams that were willing to break the bank for unproven players. I have been extremely lucky to have very good gm's and very good player owners. They do need to come up with something that will keep these teams that are gutted from keeping the rest of the conference down and having blown up stats. I don't know, we'll see what they come up with.

Bam, we are not talking about you guys, I am talking about the lvl 1, and cpu owned teams in our league that are losing every week by 255 points or more.. Just ruins the stats and sim of the league...

I realize what you are saying - and I agree. I even think a forfeit type situation would be fair when a team in a league such as ours goes to CPU. It won't hurt/help one teams stats more than another, just raise everyone's wins by one. A non-cpu team I think still has a chance for their guys to get experience and build for the upcoming season. Sometimes, building from 0 wins to 2 wins is huge in team development.

My point was more to the have and have nots thing. Just to reinforce the fact that it is possible to basically come back from nothing. Is it less possibly now than before? You betcha. It is possible. I know it sounded like a "hey look at us" type post. I really didn't mean it that way.

Yes you did and it is a valid point. Granted, you did not start from a gutted team but you were definitely considered an easy win by most teams. Your last season was the biggest turn around I've ever seen a team make and deserves to be recognized as such.

I wish they would allow more teams to move up and down every season. One from each conference just isn't enough. It's like you all are saying it allows the top four teams to just continue to dominate every season. If they were able to move up, it would allow better competition in the higher leagues and help to keep things evenly matched. I mean let's face it, some of us are loaded with level 30+ players in a BBB league, while others can't score a level 20. Which means the better teams continue to score the home playoff games and can afford to keep getting better. Look at the other teams that should have moved up ( if we went to at least 2 a conference rather than 1 ) in the past 3 seasons, most of them are better than some of teams in A3 right now. Also it makes it harder for recruiting as mentioned. I mean no one wants to be on a losing team that also can't afford to pay for their upgrades and because of that they will continue to loose. Now we know how hard it is to recruit, 3 of us do the recruiting on the Cajuns and we each put a lot of time into it, so we know how hard it is. I just think this whole 2 a league thing should be changed, it would make a big difference to these blow out games.
I can name quite a few teams right now that should not be in the BBB because they are better matched with teams in the higher leagues and all but 2 will be here again next season to do it all again... to score the home playoff games, to build the biggest stadiums to be able to afford the salaries of the higher players and continue to dominate the unfairly matched teams.

That's just what I think...

There's gotta be a way where some teams move to a more competitive league and others move down to a less competitive one. Season after season it's the same 4 teams at the top and the rest of us really don't stand a chance at all winning anything in this league. And now you have these other teams that are mostly CPU players and they just get stomped on completely. It's a total "haves" and "have-nots" league.

No, it just takes some time, work, and stability. Check out our (Virginia) progress over the last four years. Whipping boys, then bad but not a total embarrassment, then playoffs, and now legit contenders (although still a step behind the top 2-3 teams).

Dweezil phoned me to say how he was doing and he had heard about this thread.

He says all of you are weak teams and you should be happy the Cajun's treat you nice!

What's your secret?
We're starting to turn things around here for the Warriors, but I'm still not sure what it takes to get players to live up to their potential.

I hear you guys there needs to be some kind of a make up system in place to keep it competitive. I took over the Apocalypse midseason, and your chemistry grace period is a total joke, when all free agents of decent builds are already signed. The other thing is when you take over an extremely mismanaged team your stadium construction is so far behind it's ridiculous you can't get the level player you need to be close to competitive.

looks like my season is basically wrapped up. I have one game left at best that will be worth watching. Anyone have any idea if Bort will be doing the realignment this off season?
