You said you'll quit when your high levels retire at the end of their careers, so do you mean that you'll quit in like season 10?
Yup. Or 11-12 when their skills degrade too much.
Long time, right? Yeah. But with my other player retirements, I have enough to boost for a while, and I probably won't be spending nearly as much money as I could have spent on the game. I had 10 players. I'm down to 6. After this season, I'll be down to 5 (retiring another when the contract expires). I'll probably just keep my top 2 guys. I go from spending to boost 10 guys every season to mostly not spending to boost 2 guys every season (just using the 70% retirement return). Saves me a lot of money. Costs GLB money for being dumb about the problem. Costs them enough to hurt in the long run? No, not nearly.
I'm just asking because don't you think that by that time most of the problems will be fixed? I mean you're basically planning to leave in like 8 months time.
You would think that most of the problems would be eliminated by then, but they actually seem to create more problems than they fix every season.
This. I think Bukowski's the one that keeps talking about a "moving target." I agree with him. Every time a tweak is made, it screws up something else somewhere down the line. I have no problem with the way the sim performed in Season 1. If someone finds an "exploit," then other teams should have to figure out how to use the same exploit to their advantage, how to neutralize or slow that exploit, or both. What's not fun is how something works perfectly one season, then sucks the next season. Football is a game of matchups. Bort's slowly taking everything and forcing players down the same road.
