Yup. Or 11-12 when their skills degrade too much.

Long time, right? Yeah. But with my other player retirements, I have enough to boost for a while, and I probably won't be spending nearly as much money as I could have spent on the game. I had 10 players. I'm down to 6. After this season, I'll be down to 5 (retiring another when the contract expires). I'll probably just keep my top 2 guys. I go from spending to boost 10 guys every season to mostly not spending to boost 2 guys every season (just using the 70% retirement return). Saves me a lot of money. Costs GLB money for being dumb about the problem. Costs them enough to hurt in the long run? No, not nearly.

I'm just asking because don't you think that by that time most of the problems will be fixed? I mean you're basically planning to leave in like 8 months time.

You would think that most of the problems would be eliminated by then, but they actually seem to create more problems than they fix every season.

This. I think Bukowski's the one that keeps talking about a "moving target." I agree with him. Every time a tweak is made, it screws up something else somewhere down the line. I have no problem with the way the sim performed in Season 1. If someone finds an "exploit," then other teams should have to figure out how to use the same exploit to their advantage, how to neutralize or slow that exploit, or both. What's not fun is how something works perfectly one season, then sucks the next season. Football is a game of matchups. Bort's slowly taking everything and forcing players down the same road.

WOW players have way more skills/spells and, in general, are less reliant on any specific attribute/skill. 2ndly, the changes being made in GLB would cause HUGE uproars in wow. bort makes wholesale changes (and sorry compared to wow changes, the changes bort makes are reactionary and extreme) and while blizzard is far from perfect, theyre surgical in comparison.

But the biggest difference is disclosure. WoW, you know 1 str is 2 dps or 1 agility is .08 crit or what have you. Here we know, more is better MAYBE, SOMETIMES. its a lot easier to deal with changes when you know whats changes, how its different, and what you can now do to achieve the same affect. Imagine if all the skills on wow had the tooltip 'This spell does damage to another player' and instead of giving damage numbers you got damage adjectives. 'Your sinister strike ravages Mob6!'. You think people would actually stand for that?

Uh go read the WoW forums. The bitching on the WoW forums is far greater than here. I don't see anyone not playing a GLB position in this game because it is completely broken. Blizzard's changes effect WoW far greater than do changes in this game.
Sorry your second point is off as well. You have multiple spells in WoW and other variables that prevent you from spamming the same button. You have multiple attributes you can build up and the only reason people know which builds are the most effective is because of the players. They theory craft, record data, compare, compile and evaluate. I have not seen anything close, any sort of intelligent data compiled to test the effects of stats in GLB. In WoW this is done by players, not Blizzard, they don't tell you the best way to do things just like Bort doesn't tell us the best way to do things.

MY quarterback has great vision, throwing and str. MY wide receiver is a pure burner with 50 catching and vision. NO problems here.

Waaaaaaaa lets all cry because you can't build players right.

Fascinating. What does this have to do with this thread? Contribute to the topic or use that high vision to see your way out of here.

Pure burner?

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=505575

He hasn't caught a TD yet this year, plus he only averages 10 YPC, with barely over a yard YAC.

He's fucking awful, you should be waaaaing more than anyone.

Well maybe you were talking about last season..

Nope 1 TD all year, while only averaging 10 YPC.

Next time when you come here talking that shit, try to remember that we can actually look at your player and know what kind of numbers he really has.

Oh yeah, and your team is only 1-4.

Waaaaa that, douche bag.

ROFL. Did you just tune into this argument a week late?

Your fake WR can't touch my fake WR's production.

We're not crying because of production, haha.

I will quit. Just after I used up the FP that I already paid money for. No reason to just let it sit around. Do you want me gone from this game that bad? I thought I'd post that I was quitting and I'd get 100 "no one cares" replies. I feel loved.

It actually would be nice to have the ability to turn FP back into money in our paypal accounts, even if it's at a reduced amount.

WR drops are ridiculous. I have seen tons of wide open passes on the team my QB is on dropped for no reason:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=145442&pbp_id=3561552

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=145442&pbp_id=3560432

And that is just from one game and just from my QB, not my backup QB. It's pretty ridiculous.

I read a post by Bort a while ago where he said that there's a drop rate in the game so players only complete 50% of long passes.

Yeah, but it doesn't seem to take into account whether or not the player is wide open.

If a player is wide open down the field, that completion rate should be upwards of 75-85%.

He didn't seem to take that into account for some reason, when doing the long pass completion percentages..
