Gotcha, will keep that in mind then, was already planned as maybe the 5 or 6th stat i'd work on.

The only other thing you need to keep in mind is speed. If you want them to be effective players immediately, you'll need somewhere in the range of 80% of the HB's speed, otherwise you'll start having plays where the HB runs up the FB's back.

The need for speed was the biggest issue in building mine, and she is an absolute monster.

I wish i could get some blocking points back. i only have 41 for blocking, but yu don't need to hold blocks very long if your HB is lightning fast.

I would only get the blocking to 20 and hold it there. Strength is the best to have. I am even gonna take some equip off agility and put it to strength.

Srength is the best. And if your FB gets carries, some points in cover up is a good precaution. I had 3 straight games with fumbles, then i got my carrying to 32 and cover up to 4 and i haven't had a problem since. But i get at least 8 carries per game.

I am still waiting for the advanced gear that has the "First Step" SA. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Strength is more important for a FB for a couple of reasons.

1. Strength aids rushing and blocking. Blocking doesn't help you run the ball.

2. FB's blocking doesn't need to be that high. FB's need strength to clear out the hole or path of the HB. FB's don't hold their block that long, unlike pass blocking. When FB's do pass block, they are chipping on other blocks. The only time having super high blocking would be beneficial is blocking a LB one-on-one on a blitz play. To me, it's not worth jacking it up just for this. Especially right now were blockers seem to have the upper hand in these battles.

FB Daisy Duck was my earlier build
See a lot of Full Female Backs
I like strength in early levels seems to get a pancake now an then
This one hasn't done so as was build along line of ball carry.
still a FB aught to primarily be a Blocker a short yardage heave set FB don't have any troubble to the goalline I correct FB to block...

More Strength, less Blocking, even out Speed and Agi, cut Vision in half, sprinkle in some Confidence.

Str 75
Blk 50
Spd 50
Agi 50
Vis 25

That should be more your aim, even as a blocking FB. Strength and Blocking should be the primary concerns, followed by Agility and Speed (while training your Vision). When you get to that point you can look back over other builds, ask questions or just decide for yourself where you should go. What I have listed will be your absolute best bet, I promise.

I too wanted to be an amazing blocking FB. Turns out I was far too slow. The FB who built himself for rushing was way better than I was because he had more Speed. With the high amount of Str and Agi that I had switching over and putting points in Speed really made my build ALOT better. Having a very high Str made punching my way through a hole and getting my HB free pretty easy, as well. Blocking is a lower priority than you might think because you really aren't blocking a lot or even for a long time. Vision is nearly a waste and shouldn't be brough above 30 until fixes are made to the way it functions.

Nice job. A few more points on Confidence won't hurt, IMO (about 4 or 5). Getting your Stam up to 30, maybe 35 so that you stay fresh during the game and on those crucial late game plays would be useful. Get carrying to 30, while you may not get the ball much, you want to be able to hold on to it. Finally, Jumping and Catching... it is mostly just a lot of fun.

FBs have to spread themselves fairly thin just to do a good job. I have been training Jumping/Catching for a while now and it's been pretty interesting. I still have games where I get the ball 4 yards in the backfield and then get nailed, but I grabbed a pass and turned it into a 21 yard touchdown the other day. I'm waiting for the day that I get to mow over that 15 Strength, 15 Tackling Speed-heavy CB.

She'll be training stamina and confidence for the rest of her career. The Sp is going back into str.

Not really to a place where I can comment but now softcapped blocking, saving up to decide what to do next. Team put up 350 odd yards rushing last game and blocking looks good but then again it's only D-league.

Any new opinions on this now? Curious how the 'perfect' FB build has changed over the last season and a half.

My experiment continues to produce solid results, just hit lvl28 and blocking is now at a natural 69.64, agility and speed are capped and strength is being worked to 60 at this time.

I'm happy with the high blocking in terms of taking players out of the play, but can see the advantage of having solid strength as well, having blocked NTs on several pass plays recently. Big question now is what stat to spend the +6 of custom on, i'm training vision and confidence which are both stupidly low atm, so not going to either. I want to add the key boost custom offers, blocking, strength, speed, agility, all seem viable options.

Where do you have your other equipment? My first notion would be to put custom on agility.

So what do you think about having blocking so high? Do you really think that it's that useful to have that high or you think maybe some of those SPs could have been more usefully spent somewhere else?

Just curious...

I love having it that high tbh, he pulls LBs and SS out of the plays with no trouble whatsoever, though occassionally he pulls them the wrong direction :S, and even with only solid strength he's blocking NTs/DEs etc. well on pass blocking duty. Have however been annoyed this season by blocked players pulling off him backwards as soon as a carrier goes past, but think that's more down to this season sim. Other equipment is on agility, and i've decided to try out a custom agility piece now to start off with.

By what level do you expect this? I only ask because my FB, who was made in season one and has gone through many seasonal changes due to the game, has:

Strength - 81
Blocking - 59
Speed - 52
Agility - 55
Vision - 49
Level = 41

I have Vet abilities in Blocking and Agility. I also plan on retiring him soon because he is not used to rush, which he is capable of doing in short yardage. I also probably put too many points in special abilities but that is what you will find from a season one player.
