But things change every season. Look what happened to Deebo's DE - who was hit by the nerf to strength DEs. You can't really judge a DE on what he did last season. And either way, he had one sack when you posted so you should've waited to see if he would be able to repeat his performance last season.

Please show me a DE that went from all-pro to bust in one season. It is very fair to judge a players performance from previous seasons.

OP...thanks for opening the build...it is definitely unique and educational. I wonder what the stats would be like if some of those blocking SPs were instead put into speed?

Went from 51 sacks to 20 - and 10 were in shutouts vs. gutted teams.

43-18, one sack in two games this season.

These are DEs that went from top of the line and elite, to mediocre.

So, it's not accurate to judge any position by how it performed last season as Bort updates the sim every offseason. I would know what I'm talking about - look at the performance in my DE from season to season - and he's always had the same build.

His build was not nerfed, blocking was changed so that not everyone would get a ridiculous amount of sacks every season.

You ever think what a finess DE could have done back then? This was before the de builds were really understood.

Yes, I had a finesse DE back then. He was terrible until the DE pathing was fixed.

And I'm calling it a nerf because strength DEs used to dominate while finesse DEs suffered... and then when Bort implemented Evasive Pass Rushing, new DE pathing, and updated the blocking... DEs based on strength saw a mass decrease in production. I thought that would fit the definition of a nerf.

+1 (well +2 since I have/had two finesse DE's.)
