I have the highest speed I know of, but I am sure someone made a freak that has around 90.

That Would Be Me

Actually, the OC has less control over how many times you get the ball than the other team's DC does. All the OC can really do is input how often the TE will be the QB's first read on passing plays. If that's at 35%-40% and you're still not getting thrown to then it's likely you're double-covered on most plays.

Yep, it depends a lot on your opponents defense and LBs if you'll be open enough to get targeted.

Thanks, and I get what your saying, but I'm thinking that maybe if I have a great route runner I will be open more than 3-6 times/game. Obviously I will still have some speed to help with separation, but with high agility and some SA's I could be open all day for a 5-10 yard completion. We'll see how things go in a few seasons as I am Slow Building towards the softcaps. What do you guys recommend for strength in a receiving TE?
Well I will have Agi softcapped tomorrow for anyone who cares. Lets see how I do in the D-Leagues!

Definitely looking forward to it.
I'm actually hoping that it'll be a success.

Good luck!

Thanks, appreciate the support

Once Agility is done, what do you guys suggest saving up for next? I'm in favour of Catching, followed by Speed, but am open to any advice/opinions you TE experts may have!

Well since you're:
1) Raising RR
2) A receiving TE

Then catching is in order.

I don't know if catching is the best move at this point, in my experience the benefits of soft capping it are not as great as capping other skills (speed, agil). I think you would have much more success bringing in lots of passes with softcapped speed than softcapped catching, your routes will be run much more effectively and just respectable catching is needed to bring in the majority of your passes.

not sure of your build, but considering the direction your going i would try softcapping jumping over catching, but neither before speed. with equipment bonuses, a 70+ agil, 50+ speed and jumping TE would probably be a great short/mid target, especially with an investment in route running.

75+ speed
60+ str
50+ agl

Not doing that bad, I still want to get my jump higher.

Thanks, makes sense. I currently have 5 SP to spend and my build is open, how does pumping catching to 21 then saving SP and training speed to the soft-cap sound? By the way, I had 3 catches for 27.5 yards today. Didn't expect much more with 10 speed, but it was still the best game I've had so far and no drops is always nice

EDIT: After looking at Gamescout, I ended up being targeted 6 times, second to only the starting TE

In the last bit of the RR description:

"This skill is especially important for TEs that are otherwise not very fast or agile."

It seems to indicate that there is a bigger boost the lower your base attributes of speed and agility are.

I soft-capped agility first for my TE. It helps more with pancakes than it does with receiving. Receiving TEs are really not very successful in this game.

I think jumping is pretty important for a TE too. i been slowly bumping mine and I been consistently getting more plays to me.
