Why not?

At the end of this season, they'll be upgraded once ... similar to hitting Level 8. By the time I'd hit 16 for another +1, these will be another +2. They should be far superior to anything a Level 24 build uses.

Most people do have a valid issue with the advanced gear. While it's absolutely unbeatable for newer players, it's just not worth it for those that have been around. It'd take about six seasons or so just to catch up. By that time, a lot of careers are over.

What do you guys think of a +1 to monster hit for a CB?

It takes a bit of luck, but Bort gives all new players 7 training points. I have been training on Normal to get a Shopping Token, then I go shopping. If a nice piece of equip drops, I buy it, then train on Intense. If not, rinse and repeat.

Also, its not terrible to spend another 10 minutes or so rolling out a new player and repeating the above process.

And, nice call Firespot ... keep the equipment on the side and boost it until its better than your original/stock piece of equipment.

What I'm saying is that since you can find equipment with +3 and a SA, a simple +1 isn't necessarily anything all that great. Maybe for now, but not down the road.

This seems good. I think a lot of people are pretty short sighted about the adv equipment. It takes some time, but eventually your advanced equipment will catch up with your current equipment. At that point, you switch it out. You should get ~2 upgrades per year, so someone who is lvl 32 should have better equipment after 2 seasons (4 upgrades + the actual equipment), at which point you sell your old thing and equip the new thing. Depending on how good the adv equipment is, perhaps you make the switch after 3 upgrades.

Quick question though ... 2 upgrades = 16 Bonus tokens = 4 Skill Points.

Now at higher levels, those SP's aren't worth +1's to attributes. However, if you go back to soft-cap, say, JUMPING, are they worth more than the new equipment?

Is it worth it to upgrade new Advanced Equipment twice at the cost of 4 Skill Points?

Depends on the equipment. Generally, though, I would say yes. You're losing the 4 skill points that would be gained by the temp boosting option, but you're gaining 2 attribute points and potentially an additional SA point. Even at low levels, you're potentially at least breaking even.

When I upgrade a piece of Advanced Equipment [for these purposes, call it a] Superior "+1 CATCHING, +2% Catch Ball, +1 BLITZ[SA]" Visor.

When I upgrade it with 8 Bonus Tokens, does it become:

A] +2 CATCHING, +2% Catch Ball, +1 BLITZ[SA]
B] +1 CATCHING, +4% Catch Ball, +1 BLITZ[SA]
C] +1 CATCHING, +2% Catch Ball, +2 BLITZ[SA]
D] +2 CATCHING, +4% Catch Ball, +2 BLITZ[SA]
E] +1 SPEED, +1 CATCHING, +2% Catch Ball, +1 BLITZ[SA]

This is where things go pear-shaped for me.
