My QB (#2) is starting and had a pretty good first game, but due to lame WRs his 2nd game was awful. He had a 14.3 QB rating because our 2 starting WRs combined for 19 drops in one game! One of which was my slow build speed WR who may have 80 speed but only 22 catching which is why I said before the season that he shouldn't be a starter, but they wouldn't listen to me and started him.
Drops ain't always on the WR. It also seems a little hypocritical to blame the WR when you yourself have a low-catching WR in the corps. Your low confidence also means that you start throwing worse after the incompletions start rolling in. Now, I'm not saying that you did anything wrong with your build, having done much the same myself, but that you should have more patience with your guys. WR is a very tough build, point-wise.
True, drops aren't always the WRs fault but watching the replays they were pretty much all on target and when a WR drops the ball 12 times clearly something's wrong. And it wasn't just my passes they dropped, they dropped most of the other 2 QBs passes as well. The 2 WRs with low catching combined for 19 drops, whereas the WR with decent catching had 0 drops and 7 catches. And how is what I said hypocritical, I knew he wouldn't be catching much which is why I said to the GM before the season I didn't want him to be a starter.
