So tell me is recruiting for a gutted team always like sticking a camel with a 747 on its back through the eye of a needle? LOL I bet I have offered something in the neighborhood of 300 contracts and have had about 4 takers.....A lot of owners offering ridiculous contracts I cant hope to match and stay solvent....What a whacky market. Somewhere, sometime the smoke has to clear on this free agent market, right? LOL someone lie to me and say it will ha-ha

It's pretty messed up. It is damned near impossible to recruit level 30ish players to a BBB league and even harder if you are a new owner of a gutted team. However since the USA BBB leagues have been around since season 2 and thus have a lot of level 28-32 players in them it completely screws up competition since you are stuck trying to sign a bunch of level 20 and under players to compete against guys that are 10-15 levels higher than they are.
Maybe if they established a system where at the end of the season the game takes a look at your team's average player level and then moves it to an appropriate league while limiting your ability to sign players that are too high level. That might work better than promotion/relegation which only lets the absolute best and worst teams move, but it would also radically change the way leagues are now.

Wow, I had no idea they were already considering doing that. I guess we'll have to see how the voting goes.

Recruiting is a bitch. Weve been lucky to have some agents with really, really good multiple players which has helped, but yea its hard. I thought we were about done last season, ...but some guys get their own teams, ..some guys wanna WIN NOW!!! and some guys dont understand the importance of depth.. Then the Chemistry goes all to shit in the offseason which doesnt help.
Im just glad the majority of my guys on Dayton are loyal and around for the long haul!

Good luck man.
We had our team gutted through an inactive owner a couple of seasons ago. Now we have a very active owner and some very loyal and patient guys as agents here. I've been on this team since season one and have seen how hard the rebuilding process is so hang in there. Some advice if you want it... stick with loyal guys with lower ratings than high rated guys with egotistical attitude. Those guys are a cancer to have around with their constant bitching.

Wow, the going is still tough, the only positive side effect out of not being able to spend money on player contracts is I have been able to pump 3 mill in upgrades into the stadium, so hopefully that will pay some dividends in the near future....Heck at this rate I will be able to pay for everyones level 32 equipment from the team fund, since the players I have are few and 20 levels away LOL
