Originally posted by evileyez i think it will be tough on 1.0 at least in the first few months. folks that have been milking flex will clearly go to 2.0 and see what its all about. the dotpool here will shrink quite a bit.
those that don't have a lot of flex will likely retire a wave of dots.
there is also a branding issue where i personally think its a bad idea to call them 1 and 2
Absolutely. People will really see this once GLB 2.0 goes live. Lower leagues will severely be impacted right away. Upper leagues will take 2-3 seasons to reduce to a point where you give up as there are no players available if you aren't network ready to rebuild.
I don't think there is any way to avoid the fact that there is a GLB 1 and a GLB 2. You can call an apple a chocolate covered grape, but in the end it's still an apple.

perhaps.
spitballing ... lolcasual has little since to continue to exist in GLB1. then you brand 1 as "advanced" and the other "casual"
Ultimately they had to see this coming themselves though.
And yet they still led us to believe that the new game would be the savior of this game. What a crock. So they knew all along this was coming, and still told us the new game would bring in a major influx of new users.
