that's coming from a guy who can't compete at a decent level. If you knew what you were doing or could have ever figured out what you were doing maybe you'd see it differently. Since your only claim to fame on this game is in the forums and posting garbage, it's where the game is to you.

No disrespect to those guys, but saying they're "leading" it kind of ignores the guys who did it for them.

and peewee, and gutting and selling your team mid season to screw the agents who signed to your team. True class act right there.

Dumbing down the build process wouldn't help much.

It would admittedly make it marginally more appealing (though most people still aren't going to like the game), and it would CRUSH longevity for people who do like the game.

Dumbing down the build process would have to be matched with some advertising and/or a referral system that's much more rewarding (current one sucks rocks).

Imho it doesn't even necessarily have to be dumb-ing down, but just making it more intuitive. Things could be added (SA webs, more attributes to interact (perhaps sub-attributes ie points in agility get to also be spent in acceleration or direction changing, etc) to exchange to making ALG's decrease past caps to always give the same SP value (which is all you'd really need). The game is too far gone for bort to consider any of that (would be too much work after 4 years of balancing) but the player building as-is makes it almost impossible for new players to get into it.

Imho people here don't LOVE the ALG building process, they are just used to it. And it's not really all that complicated as is, so anyone who's in love with current player building (as far as build efficiency) because it shows they are better than others, should really gain some perspective.

Wow. Another guy that reads some shit a stalker posts about me in the forums and takes it as truth. My favorite was the time he linked a PW copper team that I allowed to go back on day 41 after I won the league (20-0) with the team and convinced a bunch of mouth breathers I had sold it back mid-season. Or how I supposedly let down a bunch of agents after selling back a team on day 33 after the team was out of the playoffs when all 55 dots on the roster were mine.

This is obviously one of those cases where an urban legend has been told so many times that it becomes "fact".

No bro, it's you and a few others that don't get it. WL makes up such a miniscule part of this game and most of the people involved are mostly just connected/involved with a tiny set they've been with for 5 years so things appear to be the same. Most are completely out of touch with this site in general. GLB hasn't been about competitive dotball for at least a couple of years (if not longer). Now it's just about trying to find a reason to hang around and spend flex. That's why you see things like ironman, non-boost leagues, D-league challenge, and the like.

Actually I do. The complexity is probably the biggest reason why anyone is still playing this game five years later. We're all trying to master building better than we did on our last dots.

too easy would be boring and create no reason to stay

otherwise tic-tac-toe MMORG would be all the rage

If every dot you made was the best possible dot you could make you would have no reason to make another.

If it was possible to backload the complexities rather than frontload them, that might be better...but I've not seen a viable suggestion in that regards.

Maybe just inversing the ALG curve, but that would have drastic effects on builds that would need to be accounted for.

Did he do that again this season? I remember he did it to some rookie team last season. His fathers seed contained something amiss.
