In fact, the whole argument against this suggestion rests on this assertion that there are a significant number of owners who will do "something" if agents don't conform to their ways. Can anyone name names? Will any owners admit to such? What would any of you owners do with a player who hides or refuses a tactics request?

I don't want to control anything about your dot. If you want to keep your tactics closed, keep them closed. But let me have the option to let them be open.

You're actually the one trying to control my dot by forcing me to keep my tactics hidden, even when I don't want them to be.

Actually, people getting benched over closed builds doesn't happen nearly as often as you think. Check out this thread I posted over on the Goal Line Blitz forum ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4435940 ) where I asked a simple question: how many people here have ever been benched for keeping their builds closed. 67 replies and 2 days later, I've had exactly 2 agents who say they've been benched, two team owners who say they bench closed builds -- and WAY more agents and owners who say they've never had much of a problem with keeping their builds closed.

So, if your fear is that owners are going to force dots to open their tactics because you think owners already do that with builds, guess again. That sort of owner micro-management doesn't happen nearly as much as you think it does.

Just in case some don't realize, this suggestion is up for voting and Jc's suggestion to use your browser "page search" feature to search there for "tactics" is a big help in finding it. It's several pages down.....
I'd also encourage those who may have initially voted against it to please reconsider and go back and change your vote.....

I was loling at how serious you are about this suggestion.

Acting like this suggestion is the tipping point between "enjoyable by people that like fart jokes" and "enjoyable by highly mature individuals working together to accomplish a common goal" is hilariously ridiculous.

Hmmm.... Just what is football about Db...? And yes, I do believe this simple suggestion goes to the heart of that question. I know us old-timers here aren't sweating what's happening to our babies down in the minors but in the Pros there's some serious time and coin put into this game. The current situation with tactics viewing is getting in the way of my reward for those real sacrifices for a childish reason.

Apparently football is about being unable to communicate with the team owner about what something says on a web page.

At least that is what I am getting from this conversation.

Doesn't that go to my contention that this suggestion, if implemented, would be a great aid in helping to avoid mistakes and misunderstandings? Thereby enhancing and facilitating better communication. Have you never found one of your dots not set the way you thought it was? Wouldn't it be great if someone else had been able to see and point it out to you?

Try to consider tending just the # of dots I have compared to yours(past and present), and I'm a loooong way from some of the stables some of these poor guys have to maintain around here......
Have you ever owned a team? I thought for sure you had... Hard to even begin to explain what that adds to the grind if you haven't been there in a serious way....... Us hardcore owners need all the work reduction we can get..... This suggestion would be huge in that regard and also greatly enhance the quality of the product we can put on the field.

Just like you have an option to set builds visible to team owners/GMs/everyone - let there also be a similar option to set tactics visible. It's something that should have been implemented long ago and I can't see why more than 95% of the players playing the game wouldnt open up their tactics to an owner on request
