Actually Bort's exact statement was that Pro champions wouldn't be allowed to decline promotion unless they were retiring and bringing in a new roster.

Your team is nowhere near as good as you think. You had a good day with the RNG. We didn't even put work into that game assuming it would be a blowout, but it just goes to show how wild this sim can be sometimes.
