Believe me, if I can lead EEPRO in sacks, any of you could.

I wish my DE gets to play in so many blow out games...

Not my fault that Emmaus is so freaking great. It is partially my doing, however. (Love you Rob and Ash).

Pssh Emmaus sucks...they just play in the lolEEPro.

You are just jealous SI replaced you on OTR

Yea I am really jealous. It made me so .

My DT always put up good numbers, even against some of the best teams of equal level he was still getting sacks and FF's last season.. 3 seasons ago, 61 hurries. last two season's, 20+ sacks. this season, 1 sack. and hell, the league hes playing in this season sucks.

I have a level 33 DT that has 7 sacks, 11 hurries, and 5 TFL in 7 games. He went against even level competition once and got 4 sacks. He had 1 sack in a loss against team with interior line levels 39-41, and 2 sacks in losses against teams with interior OL levels 49-51. The interior line on the rest of the teams he has faced are between levels 38-52.

Your DC may not be putting your DT in position to make the plays. The way the regular AI places the DT this season makes it hard unless DC moves him to a place where he isn't likely to get double teamed.

I agree with Rage. The DPC has improved both DTs and DEs chances of getting sacks but the interaction is still not quite there. However, there are ways for DTs to get pressure up the middle.

Here are some stats from USA Pro (removing the two CPU teams and one low level slow build team):

7771 Pass Attempts
269 Sacks
3.4% Pass attempts end in a sack (NFL average 6.3%)

It's even worse because I'm pretty sure you just did 269/7771 and I assume that you're basing it off pass attempts so you have to do 269/(7771+269) (which doesn't change much honestly, just makes it 3.3%) and that's not even counting the pass attempts where QBs can't find a target and start scrambling downfield.

I honestly think the D-Line/O-Line interaction is whacked. I have 3 D-linemen who have played against a bunch of CPU teams this season in a casual league. The results? Nothing very good. If CPUs that are 6-7 levels lower can block my guys, what chance do I have against human players that are similarly leveled?

Just let DE's loose again and let it settle itself.

I understand Offense sells. It does in RL too, but c'mon already. In season 6 (i think it was), I had to actually account for DE's in the gameplan. Since, I haven't kept anyone in to pass block unless it was a tactic to keep their pass defender out of passing lanes. I'm an offensive guy 100% and i'm saying enough is enough.

I don't think it's just a matter of offense sells. But we have a bunch of lazy ass offensive coordinators that think they have a god given right to run up offensive stats.

I keep on reading how Bort and Co. want to make DLine more like the NFL but read nothing about the offense being more like the NFL. So I just ran through some quick QB and RB stats for all of the pro leagues.

19% of the QBs in the NFL threw for more than 4,000 yds in 2008.
42% of the Pro league QBS are on pace to throw for more than 4,000 yds.

9% of the running backs in the NFL ran for 1500 yds or more in 2008.
55% of the Pro leagues RBS are on pace to run more than 1500 yds.

Yet for some reason they want to keep on nerfing the defense to make it as real as possible to the NFL stats but when are we going to see this with the offense?

Never. Borts head is up his ass. This game will crumble when another like it comes out

There have been rumors of DL/OL updates for a while...any idea when/if this is going to happen.

My guess is if it doesn't happen within the week, then they will just hold off on it until S10. The reason I say that is because we are at the mid point now... So implementing changes like that anytime after say Game 12... That would set people off because of the implications it would have on the playoff race, etc...

yeah, unless it's a major exploit, changes midseason are bad

It's beyond ridiculous how long it has taken.

All D-Line players should get a full refund for the flex they used to boost this season. We had how long of an offseason? And then an extended presesason? And now we're fucking 8 games in, and it's STILL not fixed?

i dont know why people are bitching now. all it is, is that DEs are more realistic. they aren't getting 74 sacks a season. the best are getting maybe 40 now against good teams in a good league.
