Why is this banned team allowed to continue unbeaten? I have to imagine that at some point this 'ghost ship' as it were will run aground but what about the teams that are losing to it in the meantime? Has anyone gotten any kind of word from an Admin about this? How long does a player have to be inactive before their account is dropped? Is anyone looking forward to facing the New England Speed / Richmond Patriots in the playoffs if this is allowed to continue? And what are they actually doing in Area 51 anyway? These are questions I would like answers to!

bort said he wont punish the owner of the team by moveing all the players, i say he has had enought time to deal with it, he should of known something was up when he got all those players. I think the players should be removed and then filled with cpu players like we all had untill the owner actually goes and finds new players.

What's up fellas. For those that weren't aware, the Assassins have moved! The Columbus Mayor decided our cheerleaders outfits were too skimpy. So we moved 120 miles down the road to Akron. The cheerleaders tell me that boob jobs are lot cheaper here too. Got have your priorities, ya know. ...we don't have any female owners, do we? hehe

Just thought I'd pop in since I was just told there was a thread here for our BBB #14...

Omaha takes down the first place team without breaking a sweat. Sick simulation game.

Sick.

GG.

youre gonna hate me for saying this but i think you should talk to your game planner

waay too much 'Rip VanWinkle pass to ...' in that play by play

12 rushes and 60 passes?!?

holy imbalance

at first i thought it was only cuz you fell behind and passed your ass off in the second half. but the first quarter play by play seems to indicate that was your intended game plan

so i guess you hate me now

No doubt you're right about not being able to win with an imbalanced attack like that. But let me tell you that this WAS NOT the gameplan.

Omaha's mediocre offense who got shutout by a defense similar to Reno's a week ago, scored two touchdowns in 4 freakin minutes. Then the CPU override (which I have set really low) took over and made us pass the rest of the game. Sweet. Just Sweet.

As the owner of the Omaha Dogs, I would respectfully disagree that we should not have had a chance to win this game as it sounds like you're stating. Is our offense the best in the Conference/League? No way. Is it efficient enough to win ballgames for us? You bet.

For what it's worth, we had the same situation last week that you're stating you had this week and that is the CPU override. However, that is not to discount our opponent last week as they took advantage of our TO's and they won the game.

Our offense may be mediocre as you state, but our defense keeps us in ballgames. A comparison of scores between three common opponents that we both beat shows:

Omaha vs Hyborian 23-12
Reno vs Hyborian 24-24

Omaha vs San Diego 27-3
Reno vs San Diego 19-17

Omaha vs Anchorage 17-7
Reno vs Anchorage 34-13

All 3 are worthy opponents. Our defense held them to 22 points total compared to Reno holding them to 54. Just my biased thoughts as team owner. It's possible we may agree to disagree on some points.

Hey man,

I willingly admit that Omaha's D is the BEST D we have faced all year. Only scoring 10 points against you guys, while a disappointment, is not overly surprising to me. But I never once said your defense was bad. I don't know where you got that from.

I was pissed about:

1.) Your mediocre offense scoring at will on me when you got shutout by a similarly talented and deep defense last week including scoring 14 points in the first 4 minutes of the freakin game.

2.) The CPU override making me passe 98% for the final 55 minutes of the game.

3.) A really exciting game that I looked forward to all season between two evenly matched teams being a boring blowout that ruined my whole night.

I never said my team should have blown you out. I expected a great close game that either side could have won.

First,

having played both Reno and Omaha, Your both excellent teams. However this game is still in Beta and unexpected things do happen. Hec I figured I would score more then 3 points against Omaha when I played them. Sometimes the feces really does hit the spinning air circulation device.

AS to the latest power rankings. Man, he really like my team... I personally think I would place us around 4 or 5 right now... but I'll take the #2 spot.

interesting

if you dont mind let me ask you, what was your run/pass ratio set to? and what was your cpu override set to?

based on the pbp i would guess your run/pass was set to 75/25 and if it was lower than that your cpu override would have to be at 70 or more

i ask because even down by 14 the cpu should NOT have instantly turned you pass happy. you had plenty of time to come back

and its not like you have shit for a running game, you have two mediocre but serviceable backs behind a pretty good FB and a pretty strong OL. you definitely should have been able to produce some sustained drives by running against a good DL but mediocre LBs

but you lost the game primarily because Rip threw four picks. and it looks to me like their defense was playing the pass. so either you or the cpu played a dangerous game passing right into their pass oriented defense when running the ball could have produced some safer sustained drives

so if you did not have a big imbalance set in the run/pass ratio and the cpu forced you into that i am suddenly very concerned about allowing the cpu to take over my gameplans at all

Meat, I have heard from some folks that have been around that it is unwise to allow the computer to over-ride your game plan at all...

Yard Dog - I do the same thing. I figure if others are letting the computer take over their game plans then I'll let the computer take over mine. It can beat itself up.
