That's perfectly understandable, but you need to not abandon the game or give the appearance of abandoning it. You don't have to make major changes to the code anymore, but GLB1 still needs attention if you want people to keep buying flex for it. I think it's fair to say that GLB2 hasn't been anywhere near the success that GLB1 was and that it appears to have already plateaued rather than showing signs of growth, so maybe the elements of GLB2 that you wanted aren't what the majority of your customers want.

This and why does it take 2 + years to get explanation that you are moving on and our monies spent on this game will only further devalue?

League structures should be something put time into every start of the season, as they can greatly effect the enjoyment of the game by the relative competitiveness. This was something that was always said would be left up to the user base to manage, IE if there are CPU teams in a Nat Pro league the userbase will have to figure out how to get someone else in there. The lack of detail management like that is extremely frustrating. To me it just always seemed lazy as it was something that needed to be done. Whatever it took to keep things as competitive as possible should have been done. People shouldn't have been able to sell teams mid season and gut and repeat offenders should have never been able to keep buying up teams as they shouldn't deserve the right.

Then there were lots of other things that just go neglected. A large aspect of this game is the statistical side and the HOF has been a joke for pretty much the majority of its existence. Why was that never fixed? Players pre blowout stats should have had their own rankings and everyone else should have been in an new one. Compare apples to apples. Also come up with a way to not allow stat whoring dots to game the system. When you look at the HOF its just a big joke.

fix league stats : http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team_stats.pl?league_id=9&conference_id=0.

I think you guys got so caught up on build and sim mechanics that you lost sight of a large part of what makes up the game.

The build process here has always been a math simulator.

That is pretty much my same thinking. It's great having a new game and all, people liking it or not is irrelevant to GLB1. However as I stated prior in this thread it's poor business to treat people here the way they do. I could leave sure but, even despite its neglect it is fun enough to hang around so here I am. With that said the main reason it is a poor decision to neglect GLB1 is simply forgetting where u came from. The users here built this game from a financial standpoint and turning many off is not very business sensible. But if that's the route they wanna go it's Borts decision. I know I don't neglect my smaller customers in my business because when the gravy train runs out u need to rely on those people. I applaud GLB2, it isn't for me but it shows some effort, just wished one had a touch more interest from the management end.

And for god's sake, get a different spokesman than Deathblade. That could not be a clearer indication that you no longer give a fuck. I actually enjoy the guy despite his constant insults, and I know that he's been extremely helpful, but he should not be interacting with the customer base. That's the whole reason you created his multi, yet now you're not only letting him troll customers with impunity, you're actually making him the primary source of communication.

Ok, but with the "secrecy" about everything this is pretty much the first time I've heard such an expansive explanation. Finally. I may not agree with things, but it's nice to see it (decision process) laid out clearly even if it's late. Also think the whole GLB2 development being done like it was (secret) and the fact that many (most?) customers were sort of lead to believe the new offering would based on a different sport didn't help at all. It actually hurt your customer base, IMO. I'm pretty sure if you all had been up-front from the beginning and posted info (like the above) in the beginning so folks knew what was coming would have helped immensely. This whole schism could possibly have been averted...

To be honest, even the "expansive" explanation is full of holes if you know anything about software and business, but I guess at least they thought they had a plan. Even if it was one formulated out of ignorance. Had they presented the plan prior to the release of GLB 2 I know for a fact I would have at least been able to trust the company. I can't trust them in small matters so why the hell would I trust them in larger matters? I can't even trust that the "Bort" that is posting now is actually "Bort" or ever was "Bort" prior to the point he posted his horrible explanation.

you cant trust them, but you're still here. Ive purchased 130k flex, but my last purchase was in late 2011. As far as i can tell ive gotten my moneys worth over the 7 years this game has been around, It was a front loaded 3 years and really expensive right off the bat which would make me more pissed off if they stopped support back then, but you know what, break it down over 7 years and its a fairly cheap game to play. I have a few more rounds of dots i can build (but maybe not 14 months of my life) and then it'll be gone and i wont be upset at WGG because i feel i got my moneys worth.

The Deuce, not for me. Mighty Brawlers, not for me, but i'm still enjoying #1 even if there is minimal support.

Pretty much this for me as well. I would prefer some new changes to freshen things up but I still play
