You already have flex, you don't need to run a subscription... to maintain dots. Just use your flex as you see fit.

Subscriptions would be for people that aren't sitting on 200k flex, that want to play the game and contribute more dots to the game. It would generate new revenue and encourage people who have been just recycling flex rather than pay crazy amounts of cash for a game that hasn't changed in years, currently has a dwindling player base, and a shortage of dots...

The problem here is what incentive is there for people to pay a subscription for a game that is not being worked at all other than moving teams every 56 days?

No point in wasting time trying to get them to change anything, Bort was killed by DD when he and Cornblade fell in love.

The biggest problem users like myself face isn't the cost of flex, but the cost of time to use the flex. I would love it if I could pay for other agents to build players in exchange for their rings

I'm not sure if I understand how the two would co-habitate

So yeah, I guess I am missing the entire point of a subscription service

To get casual users interested. To generate growth.

I used to pay 100 every 40 days to play this game. That is like 7 times what I would spend on any other subscription based MMO game... and this 100 dolalrs is for a game that sims every other day and offers like 15 mins worth of entertainment at best (if you are not an OC/DC/Owner etc). This game needs more dots. It needs reasonable, affordable options for people to make a fair amount of players for a decent price.

$5 bucks 3 players

$10 bucks 10 players

$15 bucks 20 players

$20 bucks 30 players

$25 bucks 45 players

$30 bucks 55 players Own your own team for 30 bucks a month!

you'd have a flex "tank" that would get refilled with X amount of flex for Y amount of dollars every month. spend as much of it as you can or want to

if you choose to increase the size of your "tank" to say 200K, then you'd have a secondary "tank" and still get a refill according to your Y $ investment in your primary

the net net is still the game doesn't currently offer very much bang for the buck. the theory is that in exchange for a locked in purchase price which would be made every month, a bulk discount would be given

they'd get a stable income, we'd get better value

flex points are like grains of sand, WG acts like they're diamonds. flex only has value to WG when it is purchased. they don't seem to see it that way

That makes more sense, somewhat, I guess, except for the fact that you can do that now buy buying a small amount of flex every month. You already have a "Flex Bank" ... it's called your Flex

the difference being it's sporadic,

with a subscription, it'd be stable income. to incentivize stability the bulk discount comes into play

another option I just thought of would be to offer Reward Points instead of flex as the bonus incentive

it could be like the Black Friday sale, every month for those that subscribe

So the only real difference is they'd be forcing you to buy it every month instead of you just buying it when you need it.

You'd get a lot more players for your money.... making it a much more affordable game... stimulating growth with the added dots.

When someone has 1 or 2 dots they are paying for... they will seldom login or when they do, they'll be on for like 10 minutes to watch the sims and then they are done.

Someone with more dots has more time invested and more interest in the game because you have a lot more game film of your players to watch.

This sounds a lot like the futbol RPG I also play. There are various 'packages' and varying 'lengths of purchase'. A standard 'package' gets you the ability to own 2 teams with no special perks. A 'gold package' gets you all the perks plus ability to own more teams as well. You can purchase a month at a time... or a year... or more. The better the package and the longer the length of purchase, the more it costs but the much better value you get for your dollar spent.
For GLB it'd probably be something like this;
Package 1 would get you team ownership or 5 dots (2 100's, 2 200's, and one 300).
Package 2 would get you team ownership AND 5 dots OR 10 dots (see above)
Package 3 would get you 2 teams ownership and 10 dots OR 40 dots...
(ect, ect.)
There's probably a better way to make the packages but you get the idea. And length of package ownership could also vary from a month purchase to, perhaps, a 5 year purchase (for those with money and time and no plans for the next five years).
