I wouldn't mind an instant level 79-type owner mode. The hours it would take to build your team wouldn't be the big deal, it is the 55 players earning training points and SPs that is so much to handle.

Having taken two full teams of players to plateau, I know how draining it can be.

The other side of it is having to make drastic changes to your O and D based on where your builds are instead of the teams you are going to be playing against.

Every thread turns into wah moderators. This is why GLB sucks tbh.

79 seems kind of arbitrary if you're going with instant builds though.

I always thought the sim was best at like 50-55, where builds stacking speed or whatever were still lacking in other areas.

I would love to draft CPU dots based on the schemes I want to use. Not having to worry about people not buying into what you want to do and building whatever would be awesome. That's why I got more enjoyment out of my 1-agent PW teams than teams with multiple agents.

The sim was still really awesome when I accidentally tested out those WL builds just prior to the whole new building system. I thought Bort magically fixed break tackle WR's again because the first game I ran a WR broke 2 tackles en route to a TD. Then I realized the whole thing was old builds.

The 50-55 range also had the benefit of not vastly enhancing "cap builds" or whatever the new thing is nowadays. The higher the level the more disparity between people who "just built dots" and people who had their spreadsheet all mapped out down to the exact day on when to train the exact attribute training to the exact star.

Whatever the age, I just don't want the dots to age because (a) in the early seasons, you gain way too many levels and you need to be on every day to manage your training and SP usage and (b) in the later seasons, you earn levels so rarely and you need to save up a ton of points just to train and cap properly.

If I was doing an owner mode, I would want to spend the time to build the team that I wanted, get 20 games out of them, and have the option of keeping or rerolling players in the off season. Possibly get like 5 opportunities to swap players out midseason to make some adjustments, but have the opprtunity to reroll all or none in the offseason.

I mean, 5,000 flex for that every season is a steal considering it costs something like 150,000+ flex to do pretty much the same thing getting them to plateau.

Yeah, if it was instant plateau it would have to be more than 5k, but then the price starts seeming scary.

Yeah, but that just changes the time and place that people stop stacking. Instead of working on getting a 100 natural, you get a 90 natural or 85 natural in order to round out the build.

I would probably prefer 48 or 56. Just because stopping a number just prior to hitting your equipment upgrade seems weird. I never understood the aspect of hitting 79 and not 80 in that regard. You would really have to do some sim rebalancing though because currently level 48-56 is still pretty awful for an endgame.

The reason for 79 was so that people that didn't quite hit max level weren't completely awful because of missing EQ.

And because ANOTHER EQ level would have been ridiculous.

I suppose that makes sense as far as the missing AEQ goes. Allowing 1 more level of AEQ would have probably been just as bad as giving a person that extra SP for hitting boost 30 or whatever though.

Do it. Next sim change: allow level 80 boosts. Easy change to make, hard change to gameplan for because you don't have a ton of extra BTs... makes the 4 AEQ builds almost impossible, makes the first stacking piece of AEQ even better.

Would still be easy to hit 4 AEQ. You just would have to start light training a little earlier.

Then that'll mess up everyone's spreadsheets and they'll start throwing stuff.
