Yes, I said as much. Talk to us then when things have played out, instead of prematurely calling the contest.
I don't want to hear a bunch of strength of schedule arguments from people who are already declaring Heisman victory when the relevant strength of schedules haven't even diverged yet.

Another game..another halftime pull for Winston. I think that is the biggest discrepancy in the stats...see if you can compare Manziels first half stats (per game) to Winston's or something since he's out by halftime so often.

1st Half
Winston - 128/183, 70%, 1996 yds passing, 20/4 TD/Int ratio. 54 yards rushing, 1 TD
Manziel - 147/201, 73%, 2001 yds passing, 18/7 TD/Int ratio, 369 yds rushing, 3 TDs

Winston has 1 more game breaking it down this way because Johnny didn't play the first half against Rice.

2nd Half
Winston - 57/78, 73%, 942 yds passing, 8/3 TD/Int ratio, 91 yds rushing, 2 TDs
Manziel - 83/114, 73%, 1312 yds passing, 13/4 TD/Int ratio, 242 yds rushing, 5 TDs

This is the breakdown when the score is between 7 points (either winning or losing):

Winston - 74/98, 76%, 1071 yds passing, 6/2 TD/Int ratio, 52 yds rushing, 0 TDs
Manziel - 141/187, 79%, 1885 yds passing, 10/6 TD/Int ratio, 392 yds rushing, 2 TDs

What are the sources for this? And this doesn't give me a clear cut winner as you suggest...that's for sure. I mean you talk like it should not even be a close race...300 yards and 1 TD difference over 10 games...sounds like a close race to me...

Last year, JFF won the Heisman despite two losses. And in those losses, he averaged 268 ypg total offense and only 4.47 yards per play. In his wins last year (including the bowl, which was not included in Heisman voting), he averaged 416/game. and like 8.9 yards per play.

This year, he has sat out more during our victories than he did last year, and in our wins he is averaging 358/game, and his yards per play is 9.05 (so still up from last year's wins).

Now get this. In losses this year, he is averaging 532 yards per game and 9.76 yards per play.

The production during wins is the same, essentially. The production during losses is literally DOUBLE what he did last year. HEISMAN.

All this proves is that Manziel didn't deserve the Heisman last year and the only reason he won it was because it was a down year and he had one good game against Bama. Collin Klein looses the Heisman because he has one bad game against Baylor, yet Manziel wins it despite a bad game against Florida, a horrible game against LSU, and most of his stats being put up against horrid defenses.

Between those two, I'd take Winston since he is less likely to turn the ball over, especially in close games. And based on the number of pass attempts, I think it's likely in those games where the score is 7 points or less, Winston is more likely to be on the better side and FSU would be running the ball. That just means he put his team in the position to win earlier.

2012 Stats:

Klein - 197/304, 65%, 2646 yds passing, 16/9 TD/Int ratio, 925 yds rushing, 23 TDs
Manziel - 295/434, 68%, 3706 yds passing, 26/9 TD/Int ratio, 1410 yds rushing, 21 TDs.

Yeah, Klein was TOTALLY in Johnny's class

Johnny is Captain Clutch. His 4th quarter stats this season:
39/47, 83%, 567 yds passing, 6/0 TD/Int ratio, 107 yds rushing, 2 TDs.

Manziel put up those stats against a scrub schedule. He played three real teams, lost to two of them, and played poorly in both of those games. His season was racking up cheap stats against a terrible schedule and beating Bama. Your stats are a joke.

As they say, "statistics lie and liars quote statistics." Your previous stats were more accurate as to his performance. Against Bama, Manziel had 2 INTs. Against Auburn, he had 2 INTs. In a one score game, those INTs are the difference between a win and a loss. In the only close game FSU has played, Winston had 4 TDs to 1 INT.

As I said, I'll take the guy who takes care of the ball in the games that matter. In three of the four losses that A&M has had under Manziel, he's thrown multiple picks. He's just been riding high on stats against bad teams and one good game against Bama.

JESUS H. CHRIST

Strength of Schedule:
Florida State - 58th
Texas A&M - 47th

Johnny's stats in 2 games against Bama and Auburn:
56/77, 73%, 918 yds passing, 9/4 TD/Int Ratio, 146 yds rushing, 1 TDs

He averaged 532 total yards and 5 TDs and 2 picks against the 1st and 6th ranked teams in the country. Our shitty defense is the reason we have 2 losses; blaming his play in those losses makes you look like a butt hurt, jealous, t-sip. Oh, wait...
