Agreeing to concessions and less money to stay in a sham of a conference because you had no other options is what y'all wanted? Right...

We don't need the network to succeed, we already got our money. But it will succeed. As of now the few networks are running with it because they are still in the middle of negotiations (including a lot of posturing). Long-term the network is more about our secondary sports than it is football, basketball or baseball, so 10 years from now it probably won't be a big deal for football fans regardless of whether it succeeds or fails.

Typically, aren't negotiations done BEFORE the launch of a network? Typical sip spin, they got the Heisman from DirecTV, Dish, and the vast majority of other carriers, just like the got the Heisman from the PAC, ACC, and everyone else.

We got to keep all of our third tier rights which enables us to have a firmly entrenched network before the new conference realignment happens in 3-5 years. Keeping some form of the Big 12 with all of our their tier rights and the ability to keep our network is exactly what we wanted. Unlike your retarded AD, ours actually thinks long-term.

Not at all. ESPN2 and the NFL network both launched prior to negotiations being completed. That is just the way it works in TV negotiations.

One of the toughest tix I have ever tried acquiring, the Camp should just be electric well before gametime. I'm hoping for a much better game, but this score wouldn't surprise me either. Both defenses have questions coming into the game, and the WI offense has just looked dominant thus far. R. Wilson gave their offense a dimension that will be trouble for any defense to even slow down this season. I hope the Pelini brothers have saved something special for this one. I think in this game, either team could win a close game, but WI is the only team with a realistic chance at a runaway score like this (they have just flat out looked better thus far). I for one am hoping the road team can pull off the upset in their first B1G game (last I saw WI was giving 11.5 points, though the over's are probably a better bet).

When Nebraska fans push the line from 7 to 11.5, that should pretty much tell you the confidence they have in the Pelini's defense this year. Unlike some fans deep in the south, we aren't myopic about our team. I predicted 47-21 last weekend after our poor effort against Wyoming. The scary thing is no one has really forced T-Mart to throw this season when behind, and this is when the wheels could really fall off.

I am a Badger alumnus and saw many Camp Randall games. You will love the atmosphere. Great place to see a game.

I don't get to see them play very often though where I live now. I think this game is for the Big Ten Championship tbh.

One of the first items on the Big 12's agenda after ousting Dan Beebe as commissioner was agreeing to equally share revenue from the conference's major TV rights, a Pac-12 and Big Ten-like deal supplanting one that had rewarded schools based on appearances.

It was a "bittersweet" development for Beebe, who said in a wide-ranging interview with ESPN.com that it was something he attempted two years ago.

But the Nebraska Cornhuskers stood in the way, he said.

"It could have kept all 12 together,'' Beebe said Saturday, nearly three weeks after his contract was bought out by the Big 12 board of directors on Sept. 22. "I proposed it two years ago when Nebraska and Colorado were in the league as we prepared for our television negotiations we did last spring.''

Beebe said none of the Big 12's recent defections had to occur.

"I asked for them to consider it,'' Beebe said of the revenue-sharing pact. "Nebraska was one of the biggest objectors of equal revenue rights, and their president Harvey Perlman said that. We could have done this two years ago and none of this would have happened.''

Read it over the weekend and laughed. He is a bitter useless turd who is probably cleaning stalls at DKR Stadium. The same clown that was sooooo terrified to come to Lincoln to present us our North Championship because of hate mail (O NO HATE MAIL!!!). There is a reason he no longer has a job. That was the first major step the B12 did in becoming a proactive conference.

The spin you are looking for is this, it simply isn't true. If it were, then why did we go to a conference that revenue shares? I cannot remember exactly, but I believe the year we bounced, we were 8th or 9th in television revenue amongst the B12 teams. Let that soak in for a second, NU not even finishing in the top half of a conference that they helped build. From a selfish perspective, why would we want a system in place that doesn't even benefit us? When the B12 was formed, did we want the unequaled revenue sharing plan? Yes. When it no longer benefited us, it was time to make changes or move on.

Beebe has his head so far crammed up his own backside he can't even think straight anymore.
