Well, it's nice that the Cows make the bubble... but I find it interesting that the Scumdogs beat the Cocks -- shut them smooth the fuck out, in fact -- and yet the Cocks are still in top 10 and Scumdogs are not.

Could it have something to do with the poster being a GM for the Cocks? Hmmm.

As a matter of fact, the Cocks have kinda made a habit out of losing scrimmages to good teams. I count seven losses, some of them by embarrassing margins.

The Scumdogs aren't in there because they don't have a perfect regular season record. Also, they lost to Kansas City and Boston.

Technically both the Scumdogs and the Cows are undefeated.

I am always puzzled by this as well but I fully expect FT to continue winning big games and marching towards a championship. If they played in almost any another Silver league I would confidently say they will be in Gold next season but being where they are, and in a tough conference, I can only say that they have demonstrated that they could compete at the Gold level.

Teams like MMD, FT, and Strain are reasons why I was hoping Darkus or Bort would have thrown out the brutal Gold teams like Tokyo and filled those spots with other elite teams.

I still think the Strain is the #3 team just based off of games played. They've got an impressive list of wins, it's just a really short list at this point with those wins being against Final Thought, Coastal, and TIA. Very impressive list, just small. I think they'll take the #2 spot after DI/MMD face since one of them will have to lose and the Strain will still be undefeated (though I'd still attest DI and MMD should be ranked higher just from pumping out a tougher schedule). I do think they are more then capable of taking the #1 slot, they just gotta push themselves a bit more.

I also think Final Thought deserves to be in the top 10 (if not the top 5) with their one loss coming to the Strain but wins over an impressive list of teams like Dyslexik Tedd's, San Antonio Saviours, and most recently the shalacking they put on DoRD. I'm very impressed with the list of opponents they're taking on as they have the Fighting Gamecocks and Boston Patriots coming up next.

However my top 10 looks like this:

1t. DDI/MMD - showdown on Wednesday for the rights to #1

3. Andromeda Strain
4. Final Thought
5. Tombstone
6. UFC Gladiators
7. Haines City
8. Fighting Gamecocks (most of the losses are to Gold teams)
9. Boston Patriots
10. East Texas

I'm ok with how it worked out. I was bummed at first not to be in Gold but then it just made me want to work harder to WIN my way up.. I didn't want to get a handed a spot because some team gutted or whatever. Plus it adds a lot of depth to Silver having a handful of these really solid teams in here that can go toe to toe with the Gold teams. I think we'll see more Silver teams knocking off Gold teams as the season progresses as other then Dharma, not many of the Silver teams have jumped on the boosting bandwagon so they'll continue to get stronger in the days to come whereas the Gold teams will lose depth post Day-30 once their early boosting players are about a level behind the rest of the field (which isn't a ton at that point, but a bit).
