He did about a month and a half ago. Just finished reading every comment.
To offer thoughts, not gonna quote the OP because wow long.
Here we go, linked numerically to OP:
1) I like this idea. It's realism plus a financial planning factor for strategy.
2) I like this idea as well. See above, plus things that tweak bonuses rather than just being financial are cool. Extra depth to stadium planning is a good thing.
3) This seems to have potential, the customizable elements are great. Every stadium ending up the same is so damned boring. Even just cosmetic differentiation (colors, graphics, even shape) would be great.
4) I guess this would be ok, but really only makes sense for teams where the finance GM and the owner can't easily communicate or something, because frankly I do finances for 2 teams and have never seen a need for this.
5) Here's the fun. Ignoring, for now, the #s in the OP: the underlying concept (more upgrades that have varied effects) is great. Simply fantastic. Makes me think of Patriot Place here in Mass. Altering the fan support algorithm is definitely a good idea, so much more goes into fan support than just wins/losses. Consistency of ownership and roster, stadium condition, media relations, etc all are factors too.
6) This is like #1. Also, tickets sold should impact maintenance. The more people visit your stadium, the more it will cost to maintain. This will help keep costs scaled to income for lower income teams.
7) Just dealing with the pictures, the second one should say "SELL" rather than "PURCHASED" after you purchase an upgrade. Because the image to the left will tell you what you bought, the "PURCHASED" is needlessly redundant. Also, I think teams should be able to sell improvements in case they decide they no longer need them or if their financial situation does not allow for paying of maintenance fees. Selling back should start at a base percentage of the initial expenditure, say 70%, to reflect labor costs for adding/removing stuff, which is then modified by the structural integrity of the stadium. For example, you spent $1,000,000 on an upgrade and now wish to sell it and our stadium is at 50/100 structure points. You get $1,000,0000 * .7 = $700,000 * .5 = $350,000 back.
8) Interesting idea, would just have to make sure it doesn't go through the same crap endorsements did at the start.
9) I love it. The 12th man. Really give incentives that are non-financial to build the stadium. I also like the idea of an x-factor in games.
10) I love this too. Obviously these guys would be salaried. I honestly think these should be "players" just like players are. As in, you can spend flex and build a doctor and train him up and get offers from teams and get stats for people you help and stuff. Create a whole new side game and market. Mascots could also be a part of this.
I agree with Bort that most other costs, such as concessions stock, should remain behind the scenes. There is a point at which added complexity stops being fun.
On the subject of the rich get richer... I don't think that'll be a problem. I don't think most of these ideas will affect low-level teams, which means we're talking about the playground of AAA/Pro teams. I actually believe this will help increase parity.
So here's to hoping Bort&Co incorporate some or all of these ideas.

tbh, when i did read comments on another stadium thread about this thread (sorry, can't find the thread) he didn't seem too interested....just said that "something similar is in the plan" (trying to paraphrase).
I do think that this suggestion would pump some more life into GLB. It could;
Give Owners more items to customize with their team.
Create a entire new "Management aspect" to running a teams stadium.
Provide some realism.
From what I have read on thread from the posters to my OP, it seems to be a well liked idea.

It could also save this inept economy we seem to be suffering from

I would really like to see if Bort has seen the OP since the major edits and additions. I hope he can drop in at some point and give his opinion and maybe let us know if any of those will be implemented.
