This guide is now obsolete for season 7 and beyond. I really hope all of you built like this. You are going to suck for a long time now. Bort started a thread about power backs and how much str and tackling it should take for a linebacker to bring them down. the general consensus is pretty damn high on those. THANK YOU ROD LONG for such a horrible guide. I hope some of you high linebackers followed this guide to be owned by power backs soon. Then you will be scrambling to get that str and tackling up.

Then you will get burned by elusive backs because you will never catch them. Going with speed and agility is still "playing the odds" in your favor. I'll take 3 mediocre tackling LBs trying to take down one guy over one above average guy with two more who weren't even in the play.

If this game is turning into glorified Rock, Paper, Scissors, then I will continue to push speed and agility. If we are facing a legitimate power back threat then I'll just swap equipment.

You really don't understand the game. AN elusive back with 90-100 speed can be stopped by linebackers with 60-70 speed, simply because a linebacker key job is to stop the runner. He is going to be heading his way to begin with. 100 speed elusive backs are great if they can get free. 70 speed will get you where you need to be in time. My running back has a lot of speed he hardly makes use of it.

I can still swap equipment. Since it's a stronger HB, he'll be slower so I need less speed. The matchup slows down for both sides.

Throw the equip in tackling and I'm good to go. 3 fast guys who are bad tacklers are now 3 medium speed guys that tackle decently.

I agree that if you have totally neglected str and tackling, it still won't work. My guys have been training them for quite some time, though.

His LB's are still performing at this stage in the season. One missed tackle combined with his top three guys.

WTF does he have to apologize for? Not seeing the future of Bort's changes? Anyways Rod just gave suggestions on whats worked for him. Anyone that changed whatever they were doing to follow Rods advice and now cant perform has no one to blame but themselves. (which I really dont see a difference between then and now so they shouldn't be doing too bad)

For you, somewhere your ego took a hit and you just cannot let it go. Its sad that your dragging out this very old thread to try and make yourself look good.

Yeah apparently you have no idea how rod long acts in the linebacker forum. you have no idea how much he cusses people out for not agreeing with him. Now that he is completely wrong he disappears. Basically? Get a clue. Know the whole story.

Nope, just tired of reading about your infatuation with the guy. Your obsession with him has been going on for months, it's time for you to find another hobby.
