Eh, I always just kinda assumed they could do that anyway. It's their site. Expecting privacy in anything online is kinda LOL TBH.

More transparency on that might not be a bad idea, though, given the number of people who have been posting "THEY CAN READ MY PMS?!? RAEEEEG" this week. Incredible that in 2013 people still think anything can stay private online anymore, but here we are, I guess.

It seems to many here Bort, and I say this with the deepest respect for your company and your position in it as head.

it is mine and probably many others here perception, that Bort doesn't care, digital daggers allows, Pallow encourages. So good Admins who geniunely seem to care like EllisBell are forced to overlook Admins like Corndog who take advantage of people with secret multi's because thats how they get their jollies.

i appreciate you FINALLY coming on here, but you are just giving us standard defenses for every complaint we bring up. And we watched and read for 2 days DD holding us in contempt with his indifferent and flippant posts that you call a 'diffusing sense of humor.'

It's time for action Bort on our complaints. not this standard crap you are trying to run by us. Tell us what action you are taking in the future to satisfy the honest complaints of alot of your userbase?

you can perma ban me if I make this public discussion to difficult or uncomfortable.. i don't know if that is the answer though.

but i have spent some money in 5 years and will not except these weak defenses. It's not a conspiracy, its just inept. a simple failure to meet customer service with action instead of talk and conjecture.

Usually not.

An unnamed former employee used to brag about checking every private forum every day, but most admins don't unless they suspect something amiss.

I have admittedly been keeping tabs on a few private forums to see people's opinions and thoughts about GLB2, but it's not like we are going into the dozens of network forums every day tracking which network is signing which players.

Of course everything you type is accessible though...it is information stored in a database. If the data wasn't stored somewhere, nobody could view it because it wouldn't exist.

We do have access to view that information, but the only time we really check out somebody's PMs or private forums or chats is if we have a need to. Such as checkin on reports of cheating, or checking for reported harassment or links to illegal stuff, etc. Some admins may check into some private forums to chat with people there from time to time, but that's them actually participating, not snooping.

To be honest, we have better things to do that to be sifting through thousands of random PMs and posts every day. We're not the NSA.

To some paying customers it might matter, I don't expect 100% privacy but if people feel they have been wronged then it should at least be addressed in some manner.

Bort cares, DD shits all over Bort's epic ideas, and Pallow babysits DB.

I have heard that before and from what I have seen in GLB2 you might be right. But I am sure a new hiring practice will go into force to try and prevent this as much possible in the future.
