GLB2 is more lively because people are having fun at all levels, rather than just the last 10% of a player's life.

Na, small build mistakes aren't that bad. I'd guess more people make them than not. My issue is the close to a year to get to pro where the Dots do what they are suppose to do. And it's not just the year wait, it's the Agents and therefore Dots I lose along the way that can't be replaced. For example, how many Power TE archetypes are out there at the National Minor Level. Define it a bit more to a Power TE that can block the DE and be a downfield receiving threat against good coverage. I already lost one, if I lose another the entire offense loses it's punch.

Not to complain without a suggestion. Let us build end build dots. You could even put a caveat on the option, something like must of build a full team, blah blah. You get the idea.

GLB1 is more fun and that is simply the reason people prefer it. And for a mod to point out how only the last 10% is relevant yet we still have zero progress on the inst-79 front just shows how poorly the business side of this game is ran. If u acknowledge we only care about plateau then maybe make an effort to allow the users here to make dots that are relevant 100% of the time instead of the 10% u proclaim. With that said obviously corndog was exaggerating on his 10% but point taken. Also it's pretty bad that GLB 1 is dominating even with the handicap to 'fun' that was just mentioned.

WOW! (stunned!)

Is Bhall for real? Is he now getting paid? Or too much tequila in his system?

Flabbergasted? WTF?!?!?!?!

And Euchrid, yes you've always been great AFAIK. Never had issues.

The real problem is above your pay-grade I guess.

The ship started sinking when DB/CB was hired to "help" and then flared out and, instead of fixing the game, decided to one up Bort (sort of) and create HIS OWN VISION OF THE GAME.

Best of luck in the eventual bankruptcy. I hope the guvment treats you well.

My favorite part about cornblade is he now posts in my GLB1 player build forum promoting GLB2.

Probly worried about getting let go for the poorly performing duece. Seems awful desperate to try and poach from classic.

DiMo,
I'm not sure if you mean Forum banter (which is always going to be a little more informal), but looking over your Support history I'm not sure what you're referring to here. If you need help with something in particular, feel free to let us know.

Not all support happens in tickets. I had issues before the logging system. Maybe that shouldn't count since it was a long time ago, but there are also issues logged not satisfactorily taken care of.

This is so completely wrong I don't know if you can even be a real person instead of some kind of (sort of) advanced troll-bot designed to spread hateful misinformation across the internet. Which means you probably won't even read beyond this sentence, but maybe somebody else will.

I (yes ME, not Corndog) created GLB2 because all the things I wanted to do required a BRAND NEW ENGINE. The GLB1 engine basically reached a point where it couldn't go much further and do much of anything different without a major overhaul that negated all existing players and build processes, etc, so it was time to make a new engine from scratch using all the things I learned over the years working on this game. In fact, for years many customers even suggested I do that very thing, and I decided it was finally time. I find the new features more intuitive, more fun, and more new-user friendly -- all things I was striving for.

These things happen in software development. Sometimes you reach the limits of an engine and the only thing that makes sense is to start over and build SOMETHING NEW that goes in the direction you want to go. Look at basically every game engine ever written - there comes a point where they start over and make a new one, generally attached to a sequel to the IP. This is how the game development industry works, and in no way am I out of line to follow how the industry works.

All this doesn't mean I hate the old engine or its customers, and I'm not sure where that idea even comes from. I built this site from scratch and put a lot of time and effort into it, and I still think it's a really great game for what it is! It simply reached the end of its natural development cycle. I'm not going to shut it down as long as people are playing it and we make enough to keep the servers turned on, and we will still continue to support it as best we can with that in mind. I just spent several hours restructuring leagues - I wouldn't have bothered if I "hated my customers" like some people seem to like to say.

I am going to have new ideas I will want to work on from now until the day I hang up the keyboard. It's 100% ok if you don't like them or don't want to play them. I don't expect everyone to. But nobody has to spread hate and misinformation all over my site. If you don't like a game, do like the other grown-ups in the world and just don't play it.

That's perfectly understandable, but you need to not abandon the game or give the appearance of abandoning it. You don't have to make major changes to the code anymore, but GLB1 still needs attention if you want people to keep buying flex for it. I think it's fair to say that GLB2 hasn't been anywhere near the success that GLB1 was and that it appears to have already plateaued rather than showing signs of growth, so maybe the elements of GLB2 that you wanted aren't what the majority of your customers want.
