no word yet. and by the time there is word(yes OR no) it will be to late for me.

I am tried of wasting money on flex and what not. my team had 3 tough games this season and I didn't even care enough to gameplan for any of them.

we don't get the same rights as buying a regular team, it is 400 flex per season, then a minimum of 200 flex in scrimmages.

adds up and the reward comes from tournament wins which cost us money

If you recall it took him 2 seasons just to get these forums for us. He did say two seasons prior, "You guys want Pee Wee forums? I didn't think there was interest"

We need all of Pee Wee to stand up and demand a Pro, Semi Pro league for pee wees. I can't say much about expense because I play ewell over 20 scrimmages a season but it would suck to be some teams that don't have money and have to play in a cpu filled league.

Maybe I can work with Bort to do some sort of shuffling. How would we do it initially? Base it off previous season records?

The problem is, maybe a team sells and the new owner doesn't recruit/build as well. I don't really see how you'd ever obtain a "perfect" competitive league, unless we manually select teams who commit to being competitive.

But, even then, you'll have cries of bias or unfair selection, etc etc.

I'm just looking for ideas here. How should/could we do it?

Have a legitimate owners association. Say 1-2 representatives from each league (25-50). Where you have the renew ownership, have a check box for teams wanting in the Pee wee Pro league or have a submit form where teams can submit their own teams. Then let the committee members vote on which teams qualify. Simple enough.

You could have the team owners who are interested in moving into a more competitive league PM you to gauge the interest. From that point you can decide how many tiers to add, and how many leagues each tier would need. Make an official announcement so that the word does get out. You could judge the teams by their success in their league, official tourney, and Halos tourney(2 seasons in a row hes had some of the most competitive teams in it). If you could put in some sort of poll to only the team owners either on their team page or through a pm, that might be an easier way to go through the data.

Every active member of the pee wee community knows the the teams that are head and shoulders above the rest and deserve to be in a league that is more competitive. We would all be more than glad to help in anyway possible to ensure that a tiered league, or at least a re-shuffling of competitive teams happens.

Your never going to get a "perfect" competitive league, it doesnt happen in any league in this game that I know of. But winning a trophy before the season starts really isnt all that fun. If you've seen one 110-0 game, youve seen em all.

I 100% agree with an owners association, so much so that I think we should start one even if it isnt considered official. If we can get all the competitive owners on the same page, maybe Bort will notice then.

just a check box of those wanting in would suffice I tink

a team who went 8-8 or 9-7 is not likely to choose one of those.

new owners get stuck in a league with other HUMAN owners, hopefully NO CPU TEAMS.

new owners have yet to prove them worthy

this needs to be decided on before day 31 so I know if I can keep my team or not

Pretty much everyone supports this idea. I've not heard anyone say that they don't want some sort of consolidation in peewee. Teams interested in a pro league would get competition, and teams who aren't interested in pro should be able to play against other like minded teams instead of legions of cpu's.

The details could take nearly any reasonable form and I am sure we'd all support it. Mostly we want more even competition and less CPU's. Some sort of structure that lets the better teams all end up playing each other in the end would be really nice, but not totally necessary (I guess we can keep doing tournaments for that if we need to).

As for how to pick who goes pro... I agree a check box would be nice if you wanna get fancy, but even a post in the PeeWee forum directing interested owners to PM a moderator would be sufficient. Pretty much anyone who WANTS to be in pro, should probably be able to sign up. If it turns out there are too many teams demanding a slot for the desired structure to easily handle, then start cutting them based on their records.

An owners association sounds like a cool idea too. Perhaps someone should create a private forum for the purpose and start handing out invites to interested parties? Not sure what other form an owner's association could easily take.
