And no stats vs gutted teams (75+ pts scored by team)

Everybody plays everybody, so whether the team is gutted or not would not matter. Maybe not count the 16th game though...

This is kinda wrong. Last season whrn bort changed how well bad teams play. SOme people got to play the shit of shit gutts and got like 60-70 pancakes then when I played them I got like 30-40. So there stats where better but we played the same team. THis is a very rare thing tho.

This is pretty good, it kind of screws over blocking FB's and TE's though. But I don't see any easy solution there, since their contributions don't translate statistically.

I'm assuming the D-line would be broken up by position somewhat, unless you want to have four DE's starting anyway.

I'm not so concerned about the results being distorted, just that any numbers put up against teams that aren't real teams shouldn't count in the first place. I imagine since everyone plays everyone the gutted teams wouldn't skew the results. I just don't think the numbers from those games should be included, period.

I think the problem is it's difficult to say what counts as a "real" team. Obviously CPU ones don't, but there are still cupcake teams, even in the NFL.

The stats for O-linemen also need work. But I'm not sure how their performance can be measured statistically.

Yes. I'll agree that this is true, if you'll allow that cupcake teams in the NFL don't lose 192-0 and give up 17 sacks in a game.

I guess I'm basing my experience on competitive leagues. The only human team that could fail that badly is a slow built one, and they don't occur that often in higher leagues.

great idea I love it the one thing I would say for the DB formula is to specify in the forumla that its defensive TD's and not just TD*6 otherwise CB's who do kick and punt returns would have the ability for extra TD scores which would mess the numbers.

Currently, even the greasemonkey script separates those two out, so it's not a problem.

not everyone has that, so you'd have to find another way around it

Well, my point was more that they're separate entries on the stat sheet currently, so it's easy to separate them out.

Just refound this thread...

Anyway,

1) Gutted teams
I doubt Bort will change the performance of CPU teams much this season, so gutted teams should count since everyone plays them. I could seeing throwing out the interleague game, but its effect is minimal.

2)Yes, each individual position (DE and DT) will have a starter and a backup (1 RDT, 1 LDT, and 2 backups)

3)The formula for CB will pull from the defensive stats for TDs.

I would highly recommend it. Some thread needs to rep the Pro Bowl concept in Epic Suggestions, and this is the best one I've season. It may need polish, but hopefully it can get that in Epic.

Why's the debate?:

"Am I motivated enough to move it?"
