If you're telling the truth, I'm relieved, not disappointed.

However, what you're telling me doesn't match what I can see with my own two eyes.

If revenue for GLB1 is really up, why is the number of new GLB1 Rookie dots down?

Good. However, as you yourself pointed out, that's a limited perspective.

The total number of new Rookie dots is down remarkably from when my current Palookas squad started in Season 32. And that troubles me. Glad you and 3 others are making new Rookie squads though... only 188 more needed to match what there were in Season 32, and you gotta start somewhere!

I never said the revenue from GLB1 is up. I don't have that detailed of information.

Okay, so you're talking for all of Warrior General Games then. In that case, good. I truly am glad you're making money in this economy.

But that means you're still tap-dancing around the elephant in the room: the fiscal health of WGG's main game, GLB1. And you and the other WGG staffers continue to seem rather blase about that... which is why people like me have trouble believing GLB1 is a worthwhile investment for Flex purchases at this point. And that's why I continue to tell people, "If you're planning to also play GLB2 and WGG's other games, go ahead and buy Flex. But if you only plan to play GLB1, don't buy any more Flex at this point."

GLB1's Rookie dot numbers are on an unsustainable path at this point. I wish I could get you to care about that, but it seems like at this point all you and the WGG staffers are concerned with is growing GLB2. Which is fine, because that's your business decision... but don't be surprised when your GLB1-only customers react negatively to your shift in attitude and resources.

As witty as that sounds...of course we care about GLB's health. But there isn't really much we can do about it. Slightly tweaking chemistry isn't going to do anything besides make about five people happy for about five minutes. We can't force people to play and pay GLB1 and the insane pipedream people apparently have of us "shutting down GLB2 to focus on the one true game" is equal shares of myopic, arrogant, and hilarious.

I love GLB1 and not much would please me more than huge hordes of people flocking in...but thats not going to happen. The "all you have to do is advertise!", while it seems magical, isn't really going to be as magical as it sounds.

But then again...GLB1 is far from dead. Of course it doesn't have as many players as it used to have but it has plenty of players. It is a long way from being some kind if barren wasteland. And as long as theres people playing it we will keep the lights on.

See, you and Bort and DD keep saying how much you care about GLB1.

I don't care what you say. I care what you do. And when the next sentence you type is...

...that tells me you're not planning to do anything. Which completely erodes the meaning of your first sentence.

Actions speak louder than words.

- I couldn't care less about Chemistry, so don't lump me in with those guys.

- At this point, I'd have to agree that shutting down GLB2 no longer makes sense. The damage to GLB1 has already been done, and shutting down GLB2 won't undo it. However, that also doesn't change the fact that opening GLB2 has damaged GLB1, and your continued refusal to acknowledge that is... well... actually kinda impressive that you can stick that stubbornly to a party line, I suppose.

- Advertising isn't going to magically cure anything. I never claimed it would, and I've never really been in the "advertise!" camp anyway, so again, not sure why you're lumping me in with those people.

What frustrates me isn't so much the lack of new users coming in (though that is frustrating and doesn't bode well for GLB1's future). What frustrates me is the lack of concern you and the other WGG staffers continually show for your current GLB1 customers. Bugs getting ignored or glossed over. Suggestions being dismissed out-of-hand. Support dropping the ball, like telling an 8-8 #9 team they aren't good enough to promote up but telling a 7-9 #10 team that they can promote up. Support closing out tickets without resolving the problem.

You guys keep telling us how much you care about GLB1 and GLB1's customers... but it's all meaningless drivel and blather if you don't actually do anything to back up your words.

I never said it's dead yet. I point that out to people too. Still a lot of players in the game right now, and still a lot of fun to be had.

But I don't think that will be the case in, oooooh, say, 366 days from now. Just look at the number of new Rookie dots and how that number is declining every season.
