OPLA has been deep for many seasons now. Both Zeta and Alpha had been stacked for a couple of seasons. Zeta is not as deep this season but there are good teams throughout over there, they just need some time to grow most likely. Alpha on the other hand went to a new level of deep this season and thus is deserving of at least a "meatgrinder-ish" nod imo.

I hear ya, and agree that this season has been comparable.
If it stays that deep for 3+ more seasons then it would be a more accurate representation is all I am saying.

You are still misunderstanding what I am saying.
I have NOT been saying that zeta was the meat grinder last season, or the season before. To me, the zeta meat grinder ended between S10 and S12 somewhere.
What I HAVE been saying is that for several season in a row, Zeta had more than 8 teams that in most conferences and/or leagues would easily make the playoffs, usually like 10 with a legitimate shot of a lower seed "upsetting" a higher seed. Multiple seasons of this where alpha is only that deep THIS season. (yes you were fairly deep last season, but not to the same extent)
That is why I say that THIS season is more comparable to those old meat grinder days of zeta, and if alpha stays this deep for a few more seasons then that would be a closer representation of the meat grinder...... due to longevity of depth.
