His near 75% completion percentage might be helping too 
I think that the numbers are figured based on the players percentage of the teams overall yardage... for example one players 500 yards of a teams 600 yards of offense in a game may way more than a players 600 yards of his teams 900 yards of overall offense. I could be wrong, but I think that's part of the way it's worked out.
