It's a FS blitz....and if you work up a blitz that works EVERY TIME...it's an exploit and I dont care what you say.....

Does it piss me off, sure...but I'll get over it...life goes on. I thought this was a stand up league...I guess that's out the window...

I was talking to Kevin about it earlier today...when we won our title in season 11 I think the HB screens where the "exploit" and we ran it 4-5 times in the champ game.

Did you expect your SS blitz to work? Sure you did, that is why you ran it.
Would you expect it to work every time? Probably not.
But what if it did work every time? Would you be guilty of an exploit?

SB had no way of knowing that play would go 8 for 8.

Hell - I've been trying different blitzes all season - and I haven't found one that
works on every play.

Exploits? I don't think so... more like perfect defensive call (I agree that blocking still needs a lot of work in glb). Look at some other times they called that defensive play:

Sorry for the long post... have nothing against Sofia Spiders... Its not an exploit... though I do agree that glb needs to fix some blocking issues..

That SS blitz has not worked every time and we've been using it all season. It gets picked up quite often tbh.

Because of bad blocking code and TAKING ADVANTAGE of the bad blocking code is what makes it an exploit...whether the HB stays in to block doesnt stop it from being an exploit.

Just to clarify the semantics here - an exploit is not something that guarantees success. Rather, it is taking advantage of flaw in design to gain an (unfair) advantage not anticipated by the game's designers. Something that works every time is a degenerate strategy.

Considering 7 of the 8 ended drives....I guess I dont see how you could say that's not why we lost? Our D wasnt going to allow more than 10 pts imo if those drives dont get stopped....not to mention who was open on those SG plays.

Ok.. but you stopped 4 of SB's drives the exact same way? 4 3rd downs, 4 sacks ... which to me look a lot like eachother. And... As far as I can tell, you called that defensive play 4 times in the whole game, and everytime it ended with a sack. Exploit?

ITT: Blitzing the SS is not an exploit, but blitzing the FS is.

I learn something new in glb every day, lol.

We had 7 attempted passes and got sacked 4 times. Thats a pretty bad ratio for us. I knew you would run it, too, so thats why I only passed when needed.

If you had watched our game film, you would see how other teams picked up the FS blitz, or just avoided running many shotgun plays.
